Well that is a huge error on their part then. You would think HMRC would pick up on such a major point.

The CVA went out in May before the changes to parachute payments to raise them to £48m were confirmed in June. However at the time of the CVA it was known it was likely to happen. I don't know how this was reflected in the CVA.

Has Mr Sheldon forgotten which side he is on? How does this help his case?

If they stay in admin they won't get a points deduction. They get a points deduction if they exit admin without a CVA. It isn't comparable to Saints situation at all.

People see he signed in August 2008 on a two year deal and wrongly I think thought this meant from August to August. It is standard in England for player contracts to run until 30th June. When they say its a two year deal they mean August 2008 to June 2010. I think he has signed a year extension for some reason I can't fathom.

I don't think a Sports journalist from the News of the World is the best judge of the way a High Court insolvency appeal case is going.
-
The Wimbledon judgement is interesting as the reason given by the judge for HMRC losing in that case doesn't apply to Pompey.

Mr Benson Phillips has sent me (and I believe a few others) abusive PM's. -
1) Why were Pompey paying significantly more in image rights than everyone else in the Premier League? 2) Are you suggesting the images of Pompey players are worth twice as much as Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea players? 3) Why does your theory of foreign TV money not apply to every other club and rank the clubs of the Premier League in order of their players worth? How come Pompey come out on top? 4) Did Pompey earn more from foreign TV deals than other Premier League clubs? Why was that? It is sham so Pompey could get players they couldn't otherwise afford.

Well complain to Umbro then, not the club. btw Umbro do have other products to manufacture, not just Saints shirts so a new order from the club would go to the back of the queue.
-
You never know how many you will sale until it goes on sale. How do you know they didn't place a new order as soon as it looked like initial stock would sell out? Do you honestly think they didn't look at how many previous shirts had sold to work out how many to order? It does seem very popular but as I said it would be a bigger mistake to have more stock than you are able to sell, than having less stock with the ability to order more. This is just another example of you wanting to make a negative thread for the sake of it. Why not be positive for once Alpine and start a thread saying "Wow, the club picked its new style kit so well for the 125th Year it has been so much of a hit with the fans it has sold out!"
-
Would you also complain if the club spent large amounts of cash ordering too many shirts and not able to sell them all?

The Football League had its annual meeting 6th to 8th June 2010 in Malta. SOMETHING CALLED HARD EVIDENCE - http://www.football-league.co.uk/latestnews/20100603/malta-partnership-announced_2245681_2063057 1) Why would they be having another two months later and just before the season starts? 2) Can you find any evidence of another meeting or that Football League chairman have regular meetings rather than just an annual meet up? -

Again, I'd like to know your evidence for this... -

Where is your evidence for this? The thread should be closed unless you provide something credible to support the opening post.
