Those saying that season ticket numbers will be lower than last season are forgetting that last season Saints started on -10 and were unlikely to get promotion. This season the club are favourites to win the league and that will attract many to get a season ticket and see a promotion campaign. Yes, installments may lose some potential season ticket holders but the opportunity to see Saints win a league will no doubt attract new season ticket holders.
-
Will the Echo run this story in a positive light to help sales for the club, or a negative light that harms sales?
-
By removing installments it means the club has all the money from season tickets to spend during the summer transfer window. If this is how they want to change the season tickets it has to start one year. Now next year it won't be a surprise and people can save up and do some financial planning in future!

St Etienne interested in Schneiderlin
Matthew Le God replied to forever a red and white's topic in The Saints
I'm amazed at those that don't realise what a good player Schneiderlin is! Along with Lallana they have by far the best chance of making it in a top flight side. He certainly wouldn't leave for £1m so this story is clearly rubbish to start with. With his contract not ending until 2012 they can turn down any offer they don't like. Of course if he wants to move he wil move but 2 years on a contract and a big financhial backer means Saints can turn down offers until it reaches an acceptable level. £1m is no where near high enough. -

No 14th place next season? -
So posted at ten past midnight on a stagnight. Most stag nights involve a day of drinking. We all say things we regret or don't mean when we are drunk.

Reserves Pulled Out of Combination League.

They aren't confining themselves to only playing teams from England, they can go abroad so the weather has less of an impact. They could also play more games at Staplewood if they wished, which has a good surface. -

Are you confusing Austin with Paynter? Leeds, I doubt could afford Austin. -

Billy Paynter? -
Maybe the FA have told Pompey that David Lampitt has to remain as CEO until otherwise instructed, no matter who the owner is.
-
The new CEO has been public knowledge for the past 8 weeks. It is David Lampitt - Head of integrity at the FA. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/apr/09/portsmouth-fa-david-lampitt-chief-executive

I doubt the club will be returning to the current badge in 2011/12 and will have a new badge after the anniversary season. So makes more sense to use the 125th badge in the banner. p.s. that orange colour is horrible to read
-
The 125th Anniversary badge should be used. Which none of the designs have so far!

Some huge assumptions in this proposal...

Interesting...

It is dated yesterday, yet still... Have they still not got the message that they needed to have things in order by December 2009 and there is nothing they can do about it?
-
Players that have "recently" passed through the academy... Theo Walcott - Arsenal Wayne Bridge - Man City Gareth Bale - Tottenham Andrew Surman - Wolves Chris Baird - Fulham Leon Best - Newcastle Scott McDonald - Middlesbrough Nathan Dyer - Swansea Matthew Mills - Reading David McGoldrick - Nottm Forest Dexter Blackstock - Nottm Forest Nile Ranger - Newcastle Mike Williamson - Newcastle Martin Cranie - Coventry Matthew Oakley - Leicester Brian Howard - Reading Cédric Baseya - Lille Tim Sparv - Grongingen More impressive than a lot of clubs!

What was it about? It has been hidden.

For example AA persisted with the European claim even though it was impossible for them to ever get in for 2010/11. FA Statement today... He was trying after December 2009, he could hardly go back in time and make it so there weren't outstanding debts 3 months before he was appointed. The man is a fool! The whole European appeal wasn't just being hopeful to make things more attractive for investment. It was futile, pointless and a waste of time.
-
Nice, but probably impossible in the 1st round as it is seeded and both Saints and Pompey will be seeded.
-
Surely buying an official England shirt for £25 from Asda is better to do that purpose than a £40 red and white Saints shirt?
