That means nothing towards a bid for Barnard. Just a rehash of the comments Pardew made after the Luton game on Saturday to BBC solent when he said two bids had been made.
-
No chance. He is interesting Premiership sides and will be on large wages.
-
It will be about Pompey.
-
You missed Jacob Mellis - Chelsea - Loan expired
-
What is the point? I could go onto David Beckham's wiki page and edit it to say he is joining Saints. It means nothing and isn't even worth drawing attention to it.
-
You said we'd be going backwards replacing Mellis with Lines and some of the reasons you gave were that Mellis is younger. Lines is only 24 btw and we'd have little chance of signing a player Chelsea rate on anything other than a loan. You said it not me.
-
What relevance does stating Mellis is younger than Lines have, when Mellis was only here short term?
-
But Mellis was on loan and Lines would be a Saints player so how is that relevant?
-
Sky clearly not itk The Echo just lifted those quotes from the BBC Solent interview/OS article after the game.
-
That is irrelevant. In any case there is a major international football competition every two years. So using your logic it will never burst!
-
Alot of rubbish players have played for their country and even more rubbish players have played in the Champions league. How can a fan on a messageboard arbitrarily rate all players just because they have played for their country or in the Champions league? I'm not saying Saga is rubbish (he clearly isn't) but to use those two factors as reasons is illogical. Saga just has lost heart at Saints and both parties need a clean break and him to find a new club and Saints get a replacement.
-
But if Saints make the final and lose, you will lose the bet and you'd already have brought the tickets and flight over here.
-
Lallana and Schneiderlin will end up in Premiership(or a major European countries top flight) at some point in their careers.
-
That is a very good draw. At home is the important thing.
-
They will be weaker by the end of the transfer window. Beckford likely to go soon to Newcaslte and maybe Snodgrass somewhere. Saints on the other hand should hopefully be stronger having brought well and not sold any stars.
-
They aren't 7th in the Blue Square Premier because of the points deduction from the previous season though. All the points total did is relegate them. The current team is far from the best in their league as the table shows and they had no points deduction this season.
-
Takes a while to hammer things home to Glasgow Saint so maybe if he reads it whenever he makes the same mistake he may eventually catch on.
-
Why "good on him"? He is planning to commit a criminal offense of entering the field of play and provoking thousands of fans and you are condoning it.
-
Bet he was happy Who is the other bid for then in Pardew's couple of bids he revealed? Chris Lines? What about any other deals or maybe the areas Pardew want to improve? Striker? Barnard/Jackson? Right back?
-
As it is a completely random draw it is pointless guessing really.
-
So Chris Lines and Elliot Ward the couple of bids Pardew was talking about after the game? Sounds like a good start to the transfer window if true. Hopefully a striker like Lee Barnard or Simeon Jackson to follow and possibly another right back.
-
Old article, but shows it is more than just a random internet rumour and there "may" have been past interest. http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/coventry-city-fc/football-rumours-gossip/2009/11/20/elliott-ward-being-tracked-by-three-clubs-92746-25212872/

How can they be completed on a New Years day(bank holiday) or a weekend? They need to be rubber stamped when the offices open on Monday.
-
Leaving it until 15 minutes before kick off to turn up and collect your ticket is cutting it very fine even if the line was short.
