You are correct but probably for the wrong reason. Diallo is not in the same class because he is a class above and has a much higher ceiling. I'm not disputing Romeu has been superb, but Diallo looks extremely promising.
We do (in some positions), it is just we have a huge amount of injuries. You can't have a squad of 40 senior players just in case lots of the first 25 get injured.
Vardy is 34, Walcott turns 32 in March both going strong and both still have pace. Ings at 28 still has many years left in him. Ings isn't going to stop being effective just because he hits 30.
This is deeply flawed. Why would Martin Semmens care about a Evening Standard story and let it influence him in a business decision? I doubt he is that naive. Pretty daft any agent who thinks a story in a paper influences anything. If it were common practice for agents to do that then clubs would be fully aware not to take any notice of it.
