  2. No they aren't. Recent recruitment has been pretty good. To compare now to the mess we were in from 2005 to 2009 is bizarre.
  3. Beating Liverpool on 4th January to earn the 29 points possibly needed for safety (despite the panic on this forum we'd need a lot more than that). 😉
  4. That was in League Two, not League One and his career has gone backwards in the two following years.
  5. Not really, Hasenhuttl wants two players per position. Having 3 players for 2 places in the team is very risky. Having Armstrong play there weakens the team in the number 10 roles.
  6. He is leaving things late, he isn't young any more at 25 years old and has struggled to make an impression in League Two.
  7. It was even earlier than that! We moved onto 29 points on the 4th January after beating Liverpool.
  8. It doesn't mean anyone is off. Hasenhuttl has stated he wants more depth. Playing Armstrong in CM does not add depth in terms of numbers as it removes him from the role he is first choice for as a 'number 10'.
  9. As things stand he'd be our 3rd best player based on CA... behind Ings and Ward-Prowse.
  10. Delaney is left footed which we rarely have had in our central midfielder line-up.
  11. I don't think he does anything particularly bad in that video. The last goal he had an obscured view.
  12. Not really, as where have you plucked the '£80m we had to spend' figure from?
  13. I'm not using Wikipedia, the club website says he is 191cm tall.
  14. He is 6 foot 3. He is hardly small.
  15. Would be interesting to know why we didn't get a look at a VAR review for the first goal for possible offside or a replay of the possible penalty on Walker-Peters.
  16. Hasenhuttl stated they would be rotated regardless of performance... so clearly not dropped as it was pre arranged.
  17. Centre back is possibly the area of the squad we have the best depth. It should be the lowest on the list of priorities.
  18. If it was a recucurance of an injury then he wouldn't be on the bench. He has only just come back and didn't have long to recover from the weekend. Hasenhuttl mentioned this in the press conference and that the gap to the West Ham game is longer so helps recovery.
  19. They have circa 12 first team players out of contract this summer, so big changes may be needed.
  20. Not even close to that much spent in the summer of 2014.
  21. Similar age/price to Graziano Pelle. Could get 4 or 5 good years out of him.
  22. No we don't. Players who would improve us are available a lot cheaper than that. Of course the scouting needs to be spot on. I'm sure we are all happy with signing Armstrong for £7m, Romeu for £5m, Bednarek for £5m, Salisu for £11m, Diallo for £12m.
  23. Redmond is one example
  24. 2 years left
