  1. Lookman isn't really a striker.
  2. You like my suggestion then? 😇
  3. Because players may not want to hamper their chances of a move. Signing a 4 year contract rather than 5 gives them more flexibility to move on sooner. I have no problem with us being a stepping stone club for very talented young players. It is better to have great players for 2 years and sell, compared to plodding along with players other clubs don't want.
  4. Heading back to Salzburg for attacking talent would be good if (and a big if) at all feasible...
  5. Singing about twisting isn't twisting... it is singing 😋
  6. I did not say you said that. It was showing the context of my original post by quoting the point I was replying to. 🙄
  7. 🙄 My post was responding to the claim... "We’ll sell this summer whether Ings wants to leave or not". That is the context of my reply! That is the point my post was responding to, not the twisted version CB Fry and yourself think I was talking about. If he does not want to leave, then he would not sign a contract with another club. A club can't force a player to sign a contract against his will.
  8. 1) You continue to take it out of context of what my original post was replying to. It said "We’ll sell this summer whether Ings wants to leave or not". If he does not want to leave, then he would not sign a contract with another club. 2) You final sentence is pathetic and petty.
  9. How do you sell someone who refuses to sign a contract with another club?
  10. It growing at 9% of course isn't good, but 4 years leeway to recover from Covid and reducing the need to panic and sell star assets.
  11. You have taken my post completely out of context. I was responding to the claim that Saints would sell him even if he did not want to leave. If Ings does not want to leave, Saints can not force him.
  12. No we don't. Repayments start in 2025, not repay by 2025. "Nothing to repay until 2025" - Toby Steele from 5:40 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p093tbpp
  13. If he does not want to leave they can not force him. They aren't holding a gun to his head!
  14. Yes it was an inexperienced bench. But it is daft to sign a player until the end of the season if we only need to cover players missing for a few weeks.
  15. No he is injury prone and if Djenepo and Redmond are due back in a few weeks there is no need for him. What is the point in signing him only for us to have other number 10s return to fitness shortly after he arrives?
  16. Hummel Saints Draper Tools? Putting the band back together!
  17. Evidence = Watching them play and knowing the level of a bottom half league one player. Sure I'd rather Long didn't start PL games for us. But to say Long is league one level is nonsense. He'd be a starter for a number of Championship teams.
  18. Those players are also significantly better than bottom half League One level.
  19. No it isn't if you define arrogance as the 'exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities'. It is not an exgeraration to think Forster, Diallo, Long and our other non 1st choice senior team players are far better than a bottom half of League One level of ability.
  20. Because Trump is crazy
  21. 2021 is competing with 2020 for crazy news! A pillow company owner has met with Trump and wants him to... 'Trigger emergency powers' 'Blame Iran/China' Enact 'Martial law'
