Not really, Hasenhuttl wants two players per position. Having 3 players for 2 places in the team is very risky. Having Armstrong play there weakens the team in the number 10 roles.

If it was a recucurance of an injury then he wouldn't be on the bench. He has only just come back and didn't have long to recover from the weekend. Hasenhuttl mentioned this in the press conference and that the gap to the West Ham game is longer so helps recovery.

They have circa 12 first team players out of contract this summer, so big changes may be needed.

No we don't. Players who would improve us are available a lot cheaper than that. Of course the scouting needs to be spot on. I'm sure we are all happy with signing Armstrong for £7m, Romeu for £5m, Bednarek for £5m, Salisu for £11m, Diallo for £12m.
