I agree that is true, but it is irrelevant to my point that him being on the bench shows any off field issues are not preventing him from being used in the squad.
Innocent until proven guilty. Plus given the length of time since the accusations it appears nothing is happening on that front and it may even have been fabricated.
How would Williams benefit from being backup at one club to going on loan and being back up at another club? Loans for young players work if there is a good chance of playing, being second fiddle to Ryan Bertrand won't help Man Utd or Williams and blocks Vokins development at Saints.
On what is that based? We haven't got a wage bill as big as ours without players on that kind of salary and bigger. Plus some look to be shifted from the wage bill soon.
You are right they should try to sign them if that was the case. But if an improvement on Redmond & Armstrong isn't available then we still need a replacement for Boufal in the squad.
Redmond and Armstrong are fine for that, they don't particularly need replacing as 1st choice. If Walcott were to rejoin it would be to replace Boufal and join Djenepo as an alternative option.
He has been in training for weeks, as shown by appearing in multiple training photo galleries and videos. What takes time is getting used to a new system, it is a risk to drop a new centre back straight into a team. Less risky with wingers/strikers.
