  1. I'd rather he didn't! Stephens and Danso are not remotely suited to right back in Hasenhuttl's system.
  2. Bednarek is our current best centre back. Salisu if signed should be partnering Bednarek, not replacing him! Danso doesn't need to be 'dumped' as he is automatically due to leave at the end of his loan.
  3. Hasenhuttl has said Valery, Djenepo & Boufal are potentially out for the rest of the season.
  4. His FM potential is very high! 😉😎
  5. Ditch? Obafemi only turned 20 a couple of weeks ago, if he hadn't played a first team game and was still with the under 23s people wouldn't be calling for him to be sold. How many 19/20 year old strikers are getting gametime in the Premier League? He is already ahead of many of his age group peers in that regard.
  6. That doesn't make it a 'fluke'. It was a deliberate attempt to score in exactly the way he intended. By definition that is not a fluke! An example of a fluke is when a winger puts in a cross and mishits it so it scores.
  7. All three were Ross Wilson/Les Reed signings. Odd they don't get credit for those...! 😉😃
  8. Can you talk us through how it was a fluke? It was clearly his intention to do exactly what he did.
  9. A minutes per goal comparison would be fairer.
  10. Obafemi is still only 20 years old, compared to Adams at 24. Not many 20 year old strikers get gametime in the Premier League.
  11. That is essentially a description of Harrison Reed. He may be very suited to what Hasenhuttl wants.
  12. A lot of pundits see Southampton have a lot of points away from home and wrongly assume they sit deep and counter-attack. No... they counter-press high up the pitch and force errors in the final third. Saints had more passes at Old Trafford than Manchester United!
  13. What high profile foreign players do they have? 🤔
  14. I'm not saying it is nonsense that Mings claims that is the reason. I'm saying that the claim is nonsense. There is a difference!
  15. This is nonsense. He was in the same cohort as a number of tiny players that the club kept, so height was clearly not the reason.
  16. Harrison Reed might get a chance at 25 years old
  17. Which point are you disagreeing with? Because the key part of my post is that players like Ake would cost too much. He would be upwards of £40m! A more sensible approach would be to buy someone like Salisu and develop him.
  18. The few Norwich, Bournemouth, Villa, Watford, West Ham players that are good enough to improve us would also likely be too expensive in transfer fee. Better value to be had looking abroad.
  19. I haven't really seen enough of Reed recently to know if he has improved to the level we need. But in the Fulham games I have seen on TV recently he has performed extremely well for one of the best teams in that league. Signing another player blocks pathways for Jankewitz and Smallbone. If Reed is considered good enough we can use Ward-Prowse, Reed & Romeu and develop Smallbone and Jankewitz. That gives a good mix of experience and youth.
  20. Are you sure? He has been extremely impressive recently from the few Fulham games I've seen on TV. Have you considered he may have now have improved to a level he could be useful for us?
  21. Harrison Reed is older than Hojbjerg! He is 25 years old and has a lot of 1st team games in the last 3 seasons under his belt now.
  22. In order to do that you'd still need to finish above Palace. Catching Burnley will be tricky, but a Palace win today would have put them above us.
  23. Why do you want Palace to win?! I'd rather Saints finish higher!
