He hasn't gone to Celtic because he used Saints as a stepping stone. He simply wasn't good enough for us. Redmond, Armstrong, Boufal and Djenepo all far better options for the two 'number 10' roles in the 4222 system.

Armstrong is to the 2019/20 season what Steven Davis was between 2012 and 2016. Dismissed as replaceable by some, but you miss him when he isn't playing.

Hasenhuttl has stated his preferred formation is the one we currently use... 4222 Playing with 3 centre backs earlier in the season hampered Saints as it reduces the number of midfielders pressing.

Perhaps Ralph will decide he isn't going to be a bit part player and will get a decent amount of games. He is more suited to the style of play than Romeu.
