The two VAR offside goal decisions were correct... the two penalty decisions were not! Fulham player leaned towards the ball with his arm, no lean and it misses him. Walker-Peters also fouled in the box.
-
We do know about it. Hasenhuttl talked about it in some depth on the press conference during the week.

Why did you ignore answering the question? Why did you ignore the final sentence?

Used epistemology

Do you not take issue with me describing god as a genocidal, sexist, homophobic, rape endorsing deity? I suppose it is all clearly outlined in the Bible so hard to defend the monster as he is described!
-
I'm not sure how I can break this down any simpler for you...! Which verse in the Bible does it say present giving, eating a turkey roast dinner, putting a tree in a room (tree decorating pre dates Christianity btw), meeting friends & family are exclusively Christian activities? You also can't legitimately bring up doing all of that on the 25th December, as that was nicked from older cultures than pre-date Christianity.
-
It is at the root of a lot of the world's problems. Best we challenge it rather than sit passively.
-
Normalising a genocidal, sexist, homophobic, rape endorsing deity and his 'son' isn't healthy for society. Best we steer clear of festivals praising such evil fictitious monsters!
-
Does it really matter what I label my end of year celebrations with friends and family? What is key is the evil genocidal, sexist, homophobic, slavery and rape endorsing god of the Bible and his son don't play any part in it. I use elements of Christmas and the 25th because I live in a country where that day is a public holiday. It is convenient to use that day, but using it doesn't mean I'm celebrating the birth of fictional Jesus. Christians culturally appropriated the 25th and other traditions so I have as well.

Why does she deserve respect? She is monarch due to having warlord ancestors not merit on her part. She has a highly paid 'job' and all she has to do is eat state dinners, read out loud and cut ribbons! It is not a taxing job... actually that is another thing! She doesn't pay tax! The French haven't had a monarchy for 200+ years and significantly more tourists visit their royal palaces. So tourism isn't a good reason to keep an unelected head of state. Trade deals would happen regardless of the monarchy so that isn't a good reason either.

It got you to return to the thread for the first time since 16th August! 😉
-
Nope as it wasn't New Year's Eve yesterday.
-
For sale of arguement... if I called everythingI did today Christmas cake, pudding, card etc So what? It still is not hypocritical. As no religious element is included.
-
She should call it Saturnalia or something similar then! After all the Christians cuturally appropriated festivals like that. So she can do the same.
-
Absolutely! Even though many would say they are church of England. For the majority of the UK population today it would be about food and presents with no mention of religion.
-
That is an oxymoron. It isn't celebrating Christmas if religion isn't involved. I'm having an end of year celebration with friends and family and cultually appropriating the 25th December as it is a convenient national holiday. Like the Christians did!
-
1) I live in the UK. The 31st December is not a public holiday. My friends and family are available on the 25th, not the 31st due to circumstances of the country we live in. Especially this year when only the 25th allows for groups to meet! 2) Why don't you take issue with Christians using the 25th December when that is cultural appropriated from earlier cultures by Christians? There is no credible evidence Jesus existed, let alone his birth date being the 25th Decrmber. The date from other cultures having festivals was used to absorbed them into the mythology.
-
It doesn't matter what it is called. Jeus and/or the god of christianity play no part in the day. In the same way Jesus and the Christian god played no part in the winter festival before Christians cultually appropriated the festival and absorbed it into Christmas.
-
Why is it ridiculous? Even if I called it Christmas dinner... so what? I don't use the meal to worship the fictional evil God character of the bible who condones genocide, slavery, rape, sexism etc in the scripture.
-
Presents and a roast.

So do you not believe in the demonstratable fact that evolution occurs? By the way... humans are great apes. 🙄
-
The end of the year. Good times with friends and family.
-
That is deeply flawed for reasons I've already said today. The 25th December was pinched by Christians from older cultures. They were not the first to celebrate at that time of year. The earlier cultures celebrated on 25th December without Jesus being in any way connected, so why can't I?
-
I've never denied I see family, exchange presents and eat unhealthy food on Christmas day. None of those three things are religious.
-
Clearly you are unable to form a rebuttal 🙄
