Sam Gallagher - Joins Blackburn: Official
Matthew Le God replied to Sergei Gotsmanov's topic in The Saints
He just scored his 4th Championship goal of the season tonight vs Nottingham Forest. 4 goal in 8 (& a bit) games is pretty good going for a struggling team. Amazing how many Saints fans have written him off already. -
I know rotation is useful and has worked well for us this season; but for Fonte to go with us from League 1 to European football in the San Siro and not start seems kinda wrong!

Brexit is in FM17 3 different scenarios can occur and there is a % chance you'll get one of them in each game you play. Here are two of them... Those that voted for Brexit have made FM a lot harder to manage an English club!
-
Possibly something minor as he didn't go down the tunnel, but Redmond had a pack of ice on an injury when he sat on the bench after coming off.
-
Boufal at the stadium with kit bag, looks like he'll be on the bench today for first time...
-
The journalists didn't ask him about those two, perhaps if they are doing their job well & done some research on the squad they will ask about them in part 2 of the press conference (which is embargoed until 10:30pm as normal).

Poor personal hygeine?

Boufal 2015/16 - 29 league games - 11 league goals Puel's front 3 are given a lot of freedom to rotate. His preferred front three at the moment appears to be Austin, Redmond & Tadic. But they swap positions with each other throughout games, Boufal will likely be used in a similar fashion. The movement & rotation of positions leaves opposing defences clueless as for who to mark, this was particularly apparent vs West Ham.
-
Forster played the entire game vs Leicester and is currently on England duty. Rodriguez was back in training last week as was Boufal, but I doubt the club will deem either are ready to start 1st team games yet.
-
More than a few, he has been in them for over a month. He is the 4th choice centre back though, so when Fonte/van Dijk/Yoshida are all fit he isn't going to be in the match day squad of 18.

He is starting for Rep. Ireland tonight... Southampton FCVerified account@SouthamptonFC Southampton FC Retweeted FAIreland #SaintsFC's @ShaneLong7 starts for Republic of Ireland in #WCQ action away to Moldova tonight:

There was an American football game at Wembley last weekend. The designated home side had their crest painted in the centre of the pitch, they have painted the grass green to remove it.
-
How is Rose resting, when he is now on the pitch?
-
Long appears to be fine for Rep. Ireland's next game, so the Burnley game shouldn't be an issue. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37583930

New Under 18 coach - Danny Butterfield
Matthew Le God replied to once_bitterne's topic in The Saints
He'll be at Saints on FM17. -
The front three are given a lot of creative freedom and they switch positions throughout the game. All three of Puel's current first choice three of Austin, Redmond & Tadic spend periods of the game on the left, right and centre. West Ham in particular struggled to cope with the rotation within the game and didn't appear to know who to mark.

Boufal, Rodriguez & Gardos can all be seen in training today. Today was first time Boufal has been in full training... https://southamptonfc.com/news/2016-10-06/video-sofiane-boufal-first-full-training-session-southampton

I think it is more likely for Puel to move Hojbjerg to DM and use Ward-Prowse/Clasie in CM alongside Davis. Puel has already used Hojbjerg as the DM in his time at Saints.

Pompey fans making a big deal of boycotting the Checkatrade game tonight BUT the last time Pompey had a home game in the JPT was the 2014/15 season and only 5,853 people turned up. There were no under 23 Premier League sides int he competition that season... so were they boycotting it for some reason as well?
-
He can be seen in numerous training videos with the 1st team squad for over a month.

Tiemoue Bakayoko... Monaco Defensive Midfielder
Matthew Le God replied to spyinthesky's topic in The Saints
We play with three attacking players who rotate throughout the game. We have numerous senior players to play in those 3 role... Austin Long Rodriguez Tadic Boufal Redmond 6 senior players for 3 positions, 2 players for each. So how does that make us reliant on Rodriguez? -
Eric Black named in Telegraph investigation
Matthew Le God replied to DuncanRG's topic in The Saints
He met the Telegraph reporter on 2nd September 2016, when he was employed by Saints. He advised them how to bribe lower league staff. If he is in trouble for this I doubt it'll impact on Saints apart from needing to hire a new assistant manager.
