We haven't got a wage bill as large as ours without having players on big contracts...

What exactly are you claiming is the PR lie? Everton beating us to a player doesn't automatically equal ineptitude by the board.
We don't know all the facts of went on with Walcott so it isn't a good idea to jump to conclusions and start throwing accusations around without good evidence to support them.
The standard of the league isn't really relevant, what is relevant is the standard of the teammates he is competing with for a starting spot at Monaco. It is no disgrace to be playing second fiddle to Falcao.
I don't see why that would matter. If Saints were relegated, Walcott would more than likely be sold to another top flight club so it shouldn't be an issue of great concern for him.
How does that qualify under the definition of a smokescreen? A smokescreen is used to hide your intentions, but I fail to see how putting out fake targets helps in any meaningful manner.
It was the manager yet again that was the problem today, not the players. He had a good set of players 2-0 up playing well and decided to be ridiculously defensive from the 1st minute of the second half inviting pressure.
Ramy Bensebaini as the article states is a left sided centre back, which makes me doubt this rumour is true. Hoedt was brought in for that role, if we do sign another centre back I think it is more likely to partner Hoedt and play on the right.
Go where? Forster is on a contract until 2022 and a very good wage. He is hard to sell, as not many clubs that would want him could afford his fee and wages.
You appear unaware Saints have among the most expensively assembled squads in world football and among the largest wage bills in world football. That isn't "cheap"!
Do you really need this explained again?
There are only a tiny handful of clubs in world football that are not selling clubs.
When Saints have a player that attracts world record bids of £75m and £180k per week wages then it obvious they aren't going to keep him.
There is nothing wrong with having players the worlds richest club want, if anything it is a good thing as it shows the quality we have at the club to keep finding them. Mario Lemina will also probably end up with a huge move eventually.
