Tedious = guilty as charged

You call it "drivel", I call it ripping your constant negative rubbish apart leaving you no-where to go. You've changed Saint Charlie, you've changed!
-
So you've listed... 2 Stoke players 6 Newcastle players 3 Hull players If only 2 Stoke and 3 Hull players would make our best XI, how do you propose they are better than us? When 8 or 9 of the other players would be Saints players. Also I'd question quite a few in your list. For example... - Tiote and Huddlestone over Schneiderlin and Wanyama? - De Jong over Tadic? - Long over Pelle? - Janmaat over Chambers and Clyne? - If you have Shawcross and Davies they may be better than Fonte, but they aren't better than Lovren.
-
The point I was making is that it doesn't make sense either way round. Why are you so quick to dismiss Tadic and Pelle being effective against Hull?
-
Umm, what about here...? http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?50899-Other-Team-s-Transfers&p=1997973#post1997973 So I'll ask again... Which Hull, Stoke and Newcastle players would you want in the current Saints best XI?
-
Do you apply that "logic" the other way? How did Hull get on against us in 2013/14 with their summer 2014 signings? I'll ask you as well.. .Which Hull players would you want in the current Saints best XI?
-
Which Hull players would you want in the current Saints best XI? There was a large gulf in quality between the sides last season, even with no Lambert/Lallana/Shaw I don't think they've overtaken us with their signings this summer.

Ask this guy...

I believe Saints are doing things like this throughout the south of England (including in London boroughs) and building up a large network of centres... http://www.northdevonjournal.co.uk/Soccer-School-forges-Premier-League-link/story-21749307-detail/story.html The reputation of our academy, high quality facilities at Staplewood training ground and the pathway into the 1st team gives us a big advantage and a vast catchment area.

Is this not worthy of sticky thread status? Its a signing Jimmy_D... a signing!

Yep, its all standardised.

The thread title was a clue. One too many 0's.

Torquay United's 15 year old goalkeeper Neal Osborn. http://www.torquayunited.com/news/article/osborn-sold-to-saints-1780249.aspx Press say it was £40k plus add ons upto £1.3m... http://www.westernmorningnews.co.uk/Teenaged-goalkeeper-poised-dream-Premier-League/story-21748131-detail/story.html

With the rest of the first team squad.
-
Lovren was at Staplewood training today.
-
Are they? How many of their players would you want in the Saints starting XI?
-
Would it? Since we've returned to the Premier League we haven't loaned in a single player. Our academy is more than capable of producing players for the Premier League, we don't need to be developing other teams players and blocking the pathway for our own youngsters.

You've jumped to some very strange conclusions. Do you want a minute by minute account of what the recruitment department is doing? Just because they aren't publicly revealing what they are doing it doesn't mean "clearly nothing is" going on. It makes sense not to alert other clubs of our intentions and put up a wall of silience. "everyone wants out and no bugger wants to come in as a result", the players that have been offered huge wages to player for two of the biggest clubs in the World want out. But surely you can understand why that would be can't you....? Why have you jumped to the conclusion that "no bugger wants to come in"? We've already signed two players for nearly £19m for a start.
-
Those are some strange conclusions you are jumping to. Why do you think he'd be second choice? What makes you think Saints are "struggling to stump up the cash"? It makes sense as the buyer in a negotiation to start low, the seller to set the price high and then you try to come to an agreement. If Saints went straight in with a big bid they could be spending more than they need to.

Liverpool v Saints starting lineup...
Matthew Le God replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
Because if Forster decides to join for £7-9m and big wages he's unlikely to sit on the bench. What it would do is provide genuine competition for the keeper spot, with both Boruc and Forster knowing they can't be complacent and if they lose form they'd be replaced by the other in the starting line-up. Something that is unlikely to happen at the moment with Boruc as there is a big drop in quality to Davis/Gazzaniga. -
CONFIRMED - Steven Caulker - DONE DEAL (loan)
Matthew Le God replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
How many more times do we need to go through this? Shaw, Lallana, Lambert (and it looks like Lovren) have all gone to 2 of the biggest clubs in World football; a better chance of Champions League games and a wage increase. That is why they left. -
Are they? There is a huge gulf in quality between Boruc and his current replacements Gazzaniga/Davis. Forster and Boruc fighting it out gives us better squad depth in that position than ever before.

Although it would be nice to send him a message, putting him "in the reserves" is like cutting off your nose to spite your face.
