And your actual point is...?
-
4? He scored 7 Premier League goals in 2013/14. 8 in 2012/13 and 8 in 2011/12.
-
Our defence in the successful part of 2012/13 was... Boruc Clyne Fonte Yoshida Shaw At the moment for 2014/15 it is only two players different to that... Forster Clyne Fonte Yoshida Bertrand Forster seen as an improvement on Boruc, Bertrand a downgrade on Shaw but still a good player, plus we now have Wanyama as a defensive shield and keeper cover is better with Boruc on the bench rather than Davis/Gazzaniga. Without a better centre half than Yoshida we won't stay in the top half of the league, but its not a relegation candidate defence.

McCarthy or Stephens.

Which teams that finished below us last season have a better strike force than....? Long/Rodriguez Pelle/Gallagher Tadic/Ramirez
-
The fee does seem excessive, but equally it looks in line with other domestic club to club transfers in the huge 2013-16 TV deal era. I'm sure they could get a better player from Europe for that kind of money, but in a way this is less of a risk. The £12m figure is likely to be the total amount if all clauses are met, I doubt it is a guaranteed £12m. If it happens it gives a strike force for Ronald Koeman's 4-3-3 system of... Long/Rodriguez Pelle/Gallagher Tadic/Ramirez Which is hopefully good enough to maintain 8th position and have a good cup run.

Exactly, in a lot of the youtube videos of his "best bits" he is in the left wing channel.

Adam Blackmore @bigadamsport Interesting that Sky have talked about a possible #saintsfc bid for Shane Long, a BBC colleague called us this morning about it... #gotlegs

It quotes this thread. Journalism at its very best!

Fraser Forster Joins on 4 Year Deal - Official
Matthew Le God replied to Wrensup's topic in The Saints
Not that it automatically means you are brighter, but he comes from quite a privileged background and went to a £3,500-a-term school... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Grammar_School,_Newcastle Helps explain why us Southerners can understand him without the need for subtitles compared to this... -
Why are you including future years? In 2014/15 Saints are only paying for their 2014/15 wages.
-
Good point.

d) He signed a new 3 year contract last month... http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Leicester-City-captain-Wes-Morgan-signs-new-year/story-21329896-detail/story.html But I think the key one is a) He's ****e (relative to what we should be looking for to replace Lovren)

Koeman confirmed we had a bid rejected in the post match interviews on Saturday.

Further evidence announced today of why FM has credibility in the real football world... http://www.sigames.com/news/14353/Football+Manager+gets+real It would be wrong to simply dismiss it as "just a game". It is respected by professionals in the football industry.

The resemblance is uncanny.

Here's another example... http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/everton-sign-deal-to-scout-for-worlds-997789 A number of clubs use it as an initial scouting tool.

Saints played Chambers as a centre back for the under 21's towards the end of last season when Clyne was keeping him out of the 1st team. Had one of the biggest clubs in World football not turned his head then he may well have played centre back for Saints.
-
Not that he'd be in the starting line-up, but this explains Gallagher's absence from the match day squad... BBC Solent Sport @solentsport 13h #saintsfc player update: striker Sam Gallagher hasn't featured in the last 2 friendlies due to illness, says manager Ronald Koeman

In which case shouldn't they have left them on for hours in the build up to today's game to reduce the impact on people's eyes?

Is every Premier League side we will play this season at the same level as the 4th best German team? Are you even at the game?
