  1. Why have you cherry picked which transfers to use Glasgow? In the last 4 years the club has had over 50 incoming player transactions, you've left a lot of them out. Yes, some mistakes have been made (which club gets 100% of its transfers right?), but in that time the club has risen from 68th to 14th in England. So clearly the "transfer committee" are doing something very right!
  2. 5 points is not a huge gap. Especially when you consider Saints poor start (8 losses, 1 draw, 1 win from opening 10 games), once adapted to the Premier League in the 28 games from November 2012 to May 2013 Saints had a better record than Swansea.
  3. Yep, thats right.
  4. Wanyama and Lovren are both listed on the Saints website (and numerous other websites) as being 6 foot 2. That picture above suggests otherwise, as did the video when Wanyama met the team at the hotel.
  5. Wanyama and Lovren are both listed on the Saints website (and numerous other websites) as being 6 foot 2. This picture suggests otherwise...
  6. Argentina weren't in the 2013 Confederations Cup.
  7. Saints play a formation with 5 "midfielders" and 1 striker, so transfer activity is bound to be weighted towards midfielders.
  8. A little misleading, it is this account... https://twitter.com/alacanchaEPL https://twitter.com/alacanchaEPL/status/357493203940806658 Plus, this is the Leandro Damiao thread, not the Ever Banega thread.
  9. They may find it hard explaining to their partners why they've been sacked, I doubt they'll see the funny side.
  10. I think Saints may need to check the standard of the dry-lining throughout Staplewood. I doubt the Pompey fans involved put their heart and soul into doing their best work when not hiding Pompey shirts if they hold such attitudes towards Saints.
  11. So if you hired a company to build an extension on your house, two of the builders found out you were a Saints fan and did the same will a wall in your house and then posted a video of it slagging you off on youtube - you'd just laugh it off? It is gross misconduct, unprofessional and brings the reputation of the company that employed them into disrepute.
  12. Saints were linked to him after they were promoted from League One in the summer of 2011... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?30986-A-proper-link-to-a-player-in-the-foreign-press-Innocent-Emeghara&highlight=Emeghara#.UeXMX-B4WmQ I think this is probably agent talk and a rehash of an old link to strum up some business in a player, as Saints appear to be looking at players of a higher calibre now.
  13. To count as an under 21 and not have to be included on the 25 man list for 2013/14 you have to be born on or after 1st January 1992. Paulo Gazzaniga was born on 2nd January 1992, so still counts (just! ) as an under 21 player for Saints in 2013/14. Rules for 2012/13... http://www.premierleague.com/content/dam/premierleague/site-content/News/publications/squad-lists/squad-lists-February-2013.pdf
  14. - Calum Chambers is a right back for Saints under 21's and England under 19's - Jack Stephens is a centre back for Saints under 21's
  15. That was in June and he is a winger, not a Cavani replacement.
  16. Kenya are already out of the World Cup and Wanyama is the first name on their team sheet.
  17. Calum Chambers has been playing right back for Saints under 21's and England under 19's for quite a while now.
  18. Shame putting people on your ignore list doesn't stop you seeing those posts if quoted. He appears to have forgotten I have him on my ignore list so I won't be reading what it says and have no intention to read any of his posts ever again, let alone reply directly to him.
  19. There is a signicant difference between the two nicknames. Skate - The nickname the "Skates" isn't as you suggest about every Portsmouth fans having sex with fish, it is about sailors based in Portsmouth. Scummer - I'm yet to see any evidence of the mythical dock strike. Pompey fans feel unsure to even name a year, decade or a shred of evidence these events took place. .................... Saints fans are fully aware "Skates" it is a tongue in cheek nickname and most likely has little root in reality - at least not widespread in Portsmouth. Perhaps some sailors did it, perhaps not, there would have only been very few examples of it. Difference is the majority of Pompey fans believe the mythical dock strike as being true.
  20. The mythical dock strike is just that... mythical. Ask any Pompey fan to provide evidence for the events, they'd struggle and fail to prove the year let alone anything else.
  21. I was in the process of writing it before you posted the correction.
  22. Because he signed for Southampton the day before they left, having been on tour abroad with Celtic. He'd have things to sort out beforehand and has now joined up with them. No big deal really.
  23. Saints are being linked with strikers for around £20m in a bracket (or two or three) up from Hooper. There is a reason newly promoted Hull and newly relegated QPR want him, he isn't at the level Saints want any more.
  24. A 1st team Premier League player that cost £12.5m to be on only £30k p/w would be unusual.
  25. He turned down Cardiff because he became a father last week and wants to stay in the North West.
