  1. It isn't a % of who has the ball, it is a % of the league average for time with/without possession. The closer to the bottom right hand corner of the graph the better (although there are more factors to football than just this such as what you do with the possession you have and don't let the opposition do in the possession they have). Southampton (under Pochettino) being the lowest on the graph shows they are the best in the Premier League at reducing the average time the opposition have the ball due to tackling/intercepting. If they were to improve keeping the ball for longer they'd move towards the right of the graph.
  2. He became a dad this week, I'd guess he doesn't want to move his young family to Cardiff, so won't want to move to us either. Probably wants to be near both his and his partners parents in the North West.
  3. This is a very interesting read... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11662/8820344/Pochettino-s-plans
  4. Not in doubt. Yes.
  5. That I agree with.
  6. As I just said...
  7. It is not me. It is someones idea of a "joke".
  8. Why does that make him itk? It didn't happen in the time frame he gave and it was actually 2 out. Given it is the transfer window of course there is going to be movement in and out of the club.
  9. Why would they need to do that? Normally announcements are just made on the OS, even record signing Ramirez didn't get a press conference unveiling.
  10. But when the person with the rumour has given us clues, what is the point in suggesting names that don't match those clues? Might as well say Messi.
  11. Where has he been "linked several times"?
  12. Unlikely signing him would meet this criteria...
  13. Not in my opinion at all. We were discussing Pilchards rumour, he said that it was a player that has "we have been linked with him several times" and we have not been linked in the press with Lamela, Torres or Benteke several times. So I was right to say those names don't meet Pilchards criteria. Pilchards said the following...
  14. None of those meet the criteria laid out by Pilchards.
  15. We've strayed from Wanyama onto a player Pilchards says is currently looking around St Mary's that would "smash our transfer record by double". Given the clues, Pilchards can only really be talking about Leandro Damiao if true...
  16. Yep, he is the only player we've been liked with that would cost that much and Pilchards says its a player we've been linked with. Osvaldo would be cheaper and Banega would be a lot cheaper.
  17. Pilchards said it would "smash our transfer record by double". Banega wouldn't cost £24m.
  18. Simon Peach said "Pochettino & Co unimpressed by Norway defender".
  19. Simon Peach ‏@SimonPeach 4m Just six months after joining #SaintsFC, Vegard Forren is returning to former club Molde. Pochettino & Co unimpressed by Norway defender. Simon Peach ‏@SimonPeach 4m I am told #SaintsFC will not not lose much money on the Forren deal. Official announcement expected soon, along with another departure.
  20. Pochettino has confirmed interest in Osvaldo and Damiao, but I haven't seen any mention of Saints being linked to Lamela anywhere other than randoms on Twitter.
  21. It isn't unreasonable someone would want to join a Champions League team in a big European League over Saints. If he did sign, would that not then suggest he did want to join?
  22. I doubt Southampton paid that £4m upfront and as he was only here for 7 months and didn't play a game he wouldn't have racked up much in the way of clauses. So Saints may have only paid one payment out of lets say 3 years of payments. Molde in return may be buying him back for a fee equal to that first payment. Still an odd transfer regardless of how much of a loss or not was made on him.
  23. You'd think it would be on here, but isn't... http://www.lff.lv/en/news/
