And that makes it better? Ramirez is frustrating at times and inconsistent, but there is clearly a very good player in there. I still wouldn't write him off yet.

Pulis keeping them up is one thing and I think there is a reasonable chance he will, but Saints are still along way ahead of Palace in terms of quality of player and it would take a huge swing and large amounts of money they won't spend to reverse that.

More likely Rodriguez, Lallana, Ramirez as the front three when Lambert and Osvaldo are unavailable.

If it were a Championship game today would you not be happy with a centre back pairing of Hooiveld and Yoshida? Hooiveld has already proven himself to be a good Championship centre back even if he struggles in the Premier League.
