  1. I think it does (as well as you can answer such a question). Plus it wasn't the best question as Dig Dig points out... Exactly!
  2. At 23 years old he has 16 senior caps for Brazil and has played numerous games in the South American equivalent of the Champions League. This transfer if it happens would be talked about throughout world football, that didn't happen for Rodriguez or Lambert.
  3. That article is lifted from the press conference yesterday, where Pochettino confirmed Saints interest in all three players.
  4. See Turkish, we can get along!
  5. In any case at €10m it is still a significant signing and I was responding to this question...
  6. Are you 100% sure that says the €2m is included within the €10m and not on top of it? I don't know as only have poor website translations to rely on.
  7. The Lyon website said this... "L’Olympique Lyonnais informe du transfert de l’international croate Dejan Lovren au club anglais de Southampton pour un montant de 10 M€ dont un maximum de 2 M€ d’incentives, réalisant ainsi une plus-value significative sur le deuxième semestre 2012/2013." My French isn't any good, but isn't that €10m plus €2m of extras probably depending on appearances etc? So upto €12m in total potentially.
  8. Dejan Lovren for €12m?
  9. They signed Nicolas Anelka this evening. Yes, he is 34, a free transfer and on the decline, but I bet he is still on a very big wage.
  10. Press conference of just over 24 minutes is now on Saints Player... http://www.player.saintsfc.co.uk/latest-news/article/3228560/date/20130704180600/page/0/name/Pochettino's-First-Pre-Season-Press-Conference As is a roughly 6 minute interview with BBC Solent... http://www.player.saintsfc.co.uk/latest-news/article/3228525/date/20130704172900/page/0/name/Manager:-Our-Preparations-Have-Gone-Really-Well
  11. Stephens is being used as a centre back, Chambers a right back for club and country.
  12. What about them? Some years they have black, others no black at all.
  13. A lot of Leeds fans in 1960 probably didn't want to move to an all white kit. You have to get over that initial hurdle of it being a new idea and not tradtional and stick with it for it to then become "traditional". I'm sure you consider Leeds traditional kit to be all white don't you? But if they didn't take that first step of a change in 1960 then you wouldn't.
  14. Pinstripes, there is a clue in the name.
  15. For every "tradition" there has to be a starting point and "tradtions" change, alot. For Liverpool all red kit = 1965 For Leeds all white kit = 1960 For Crystal Palace red/blue kits and eagle badge = 1973 Maybe Southampton all red kits "tradition" starting point = 2013 - and in 50 years time of all red Saints kits that will be viewed as the traditional Saints kit by most of the fanbase.
  16. Liverpool have only worn an all red kit since 1965 and they have had forms of stripes in the past.
  17. So if I asked "Name a Premier League team?", and someone said "Barnsley" you would accept that as a correct answer?
  18. The Stalybridge Celtic to which you refer are not a "professional English team", they were a professional English team. And don't call me big nose...! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ahg2GVWHGKY
  19. It isn't live on any station. If Pochettino says something interesting clips of it will probably be on Sky Sports News and BBC's South Today. The whole press conference will be on Saints Player later today with a shorter version probably on Saints youtube channel.
  20. Agreed, lets take this to one of the many kit threads then.
  21. Again, simply not true. That shows a range of style and colour combinations. Some of the kits have red on them, some have no red at all. Some have a lot of black, some very little black. So how is that the same style and colours for their entire history?
  22. Again, simply not true. That shows a range of style and colour combinations. No yellow at all on the first kit. So how is it the same style and colour for the "entire history".
  23. Again, simply not true. That shows a range of style and colour combinations.
