Still in his mind of things to do and hasn't dismissed it. Even if expanded to 40k, its not just about those extra seats, a lot more to it than that which would increase revenue streams. Yes, we wouldn't sell out every game, but it increasing revenue and the profile of the club.
-
Our chairman said today" expanding/improving St Mary's" is his 2nd priority.
-
The same reporter also said this... Joe Batchelor @Joe_Batchelor 5m Krueger said #saintsfc 'will do everything to retain the players for as long as possible'. What else do you expect him to say? Man Utd didn't keep Ronaldo. Its only really Barcelona and Real Madrid that can keep their star players. We are however in a better position to keep players for longer than we have in the past with Bale, Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain, plus are in a stronger position when the players do leave to get huge prices as they are internationals playing for a top half Premier League side.
-
Asking the people that met Krueger today seems a good place to ask.
-
The AFL designed plans are about far more than just expanded capacity... In times of FFP, things like hotels, apartments, shops, conferencing/banqueting facilities all increase revenue to then be used on the team.
-
Simon Peach @SimonPeach 50s Krueger told me finishing training ground was "priority one" & looking at expanding/improving St Mary's second behind that.

They were more concerned at being hospitalised, than they were angry.

£1.2m per place. So it ranges from £25.6m for 1st to £1.2m for 20th.

Was he not disqualified?

From 6:10 in the video he talks about the club's ambitions by stating... "There are areas, for example commercial where there is a gap from where we are today and where we need to be to sustain the level of play we want to sustain here." If we want to be higher than 9th, 8th, 7th we will need to close the gap commercially with other clubs in the Premier League.

“The moment you are in the Premiership you have got to be sustainable. The academy is very important to become a sustainable business." - Nicola Cortese http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/9201250/Southampton-aiming-to-emulate-Barcelonas-homegrown-succes-as-they-near-Premier-League-return.html

Mauricio Pochettino in talks over new contract
Matthew Le God replied to goneawol's topic in The Saints
Yes, Forren was a mistake, but would you not agree Osvaldo, Wanyama and Lovren are all better players than merely relegation dogfighters? Osvaldo seemingly failed as a signing not because of his footballing ability, he isn't relegation team material quality. The scouting team I mentioned has also played a key role in taking the club from 68th in 2009 to 9th in England in 2014. Every club makes the odd recruitment mistake, but I think you should put some more trust in the club's recruitment structure than you seemingly currently do. -

My point was more about him thinking we'd be in a "dog fight at the bottom of the league", see post above. I trust our scouting team from their previous record to find replacements that would mean losing Shaw and Lallana wouldn't result in a relegation battle as Charlie suggested, even if they weren't as good as Shaw/Lallana. -

Do you honestly think if Shaw and Lallana were sold in the summer the club wouldn't replace them with quality players? -

Saints would only get 75% of any fee...
-
Adding a twitter hashtag was a world first... Is it more substantial than that?

Appears Dejan Lovren is okay... Dejan Lovren @DejanLovren05 3h I am ok it was just a kick at the end. #COYR

I doubt Cork will play. Adam Blackmore @bigadamsport 4m Pochettino worried that Cork could be out for a period of time but waiting for usual assessments to be sure #saintsfc

Can you suggest a line-up Saints can put out that wouldn't be merely "solid, but toothless"?
