  1. His "race" is also a human created concept that has no clear boundaries in genetics.
  2. Says "Mr Gimp"... Maybe not the right thread for it, but it is an interesting discussion to have.
  3. I think you have misunderstood what I've said. You won't find many geneticists that disagree with me. What genetic "race" for example is Ryan Giggs? His paternal Grandfather was from Sierra Leone. Is Giggs "mixed race", "caucasian" or "black" genetically then? What if it was his great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather etc etc that was from Sierra Leone, how far back to you need to go for it no longer to be "mixed race"? Where do you draw the line for each race? 1/4th, 1/8th, 1/16th, 1/32nd, 1/64th, 1/128th etc etc? Ask a geneticist and they will tell you the same, "race" is a human created concept and labelling of people it has no connection to genetics as the lines between peoples genetic background are so blurred. I even quoted one earlier...
  4. So where do you draw the line for each race? Everyone in the world is of mixed heritage and we all share common ancestors. Race is a human created concept as Dr Alan R. Templeton, professor of biology at Washington University explains... "Race is a real cultural, political and economic concept in society, but it is not a biological concept, and that unfortunately is what many people wrongfully consider to be the essence of race in humans -- genetic differences"
  5. Genetically there is no such thing as "race".
  6. Their big problem is they don't own it, where as Southampton whilst in admin had St Mary's, Staplewood training ground, the academy and Jackson's farm making them more attractive for an owner like Liebherr.
  7. Discussing a statement a previous poster made in a thread is joining in a discussion isn't it?
  8. Saints didn't try using a "trick", Southampton's holding company was set up 7 years before the Football League's rules on points deductions for insolvency events were written. You can't set out to use a trick for something that won't exist for 7 years into the future. The Football League left a loophole open which Southampton should have been left without a deduction, however the Football League acted as they wished. - Legally Southampton football club has never been in admin and Mark Fry wasn't the administrator for the football club, nor did the football club need a CVA as it was never in admin. - Pompey on the other hand had BOTH the holding company and football club legally in administration and they are planning to dilute a failed CVA with a new CVA.
  9. I'm not saying it isn't true, I think he probably is on that kind of money. Just it is still a rumour as we don't actually have anything concrete as to what his wage is.
  10. It is, unless you have a copy of his payslip.
  11. Jack Cork signed for us in July 2011 on a 4 year deal until June 2015, but that was as a Championship club. Perhaps he'll sign a new deal soon or maybe wait until next summer? Might depend on clauses in his current deal.
  12. And why does it bear "little relation"? When you say "yes they would", are you really saying you believe Chelsea would sell 42,000 tickets for a relegation fight season? Really? People would desert them in their droves if they were in a relegation fight.
  13. If we were 6th, it would likely be because we had a team packed full of internationals, playing good football, regularly winning and a very positive atmosphere about the fanbase. It would also mean we'd be more likely to go on better cup runs and possibly win something. All things that would contribute to growing the fanbase and having larger attendances, something a 32k St Mary's would hamper us from doing. Every sellout this season in a relegation fight means the club can't meet the demand of the fanbase and people are missing out, which is why Cortese commissioned AFL to come up with those designs.
  14. As Rafa Benítez knows he is leaving no matter what, he may prioritse a trophy win in the FA Cup or Europa League. And with Chelsea playing Saints on the Saturday, Man Utd on the Monday, Rubin Kazan on the Thursday and Sunderland on the Sunday - that is 4 games in 8 days!!! He'd be daft not to rotate.
  15. Do you think Chelsea would get 42,000 at Stamford Bridge if they were in a relegation fight? When Chelsea were a mid table Premier League team in the mid 90's before the Harding/Bates/Abramovich money they averaged similar to what Saints did in League One.
  16. Even though he was offside and it shouldn't have counted?
  17. They may rest Ba for the FA Cup game vs. Man Utd they have 2 days later and play Torres against us.
  18. Not very unexpected to sellout vs Chelsea of course, but we sold out in this seasons relegation threatened campaign to... 1. Man Utd 2. Tottenham 3. Newcastle 4. Sunderland 5. Arsenal 6. Man City 7. QPR 8. Liverpool 9. Chelsea And having the following games remaining... 10. West Ham - They have sold out 3,000 away tickets and could well be another sellout 11. West Brom - The least likely of the remaining games to be a sellout, but you never know 12. Stoke - Last game of the season, very likely to sell out So in a relegation threatened season, Saints will likely sellout for 11 (or possibly 12) of the 19 games. Imagine if we actually had a good season in the top half of the Premier League! 32k capacity is simply too small for Saints in a Premier League relegation battle, let alone where Cortese/Liebherr want to take us.
  19. A take that doesn't take into account a large number of those players are out of contract in 3 months time and are therefore worthless as they won't be getting new deals.
  20. We need a bigger stadium...
  21. I don't think they actually put a number of years on it, but said it was "similar to Ward-Prowse" - who is now on a 5 year deal.
  22. He has already agreed to sign a deal with Saints this summer, so won't be joining Tottenham. As for the article suggesting Saints would find it hard to turn down a £15m bid with £8m upfront, signing Ramirez for £12m and spending over £35m this season shows the intent of the club and lack of need to sell its youngsters anymore.
  23. Any evidence he is a "billionaire" in pounds sterling? He hasn't exactly splashed the cash so far, he is young with a rich dad with possible connections to the Russian mafia. Could be Sasha Gaydamak/Arcadi Gaydamak mark II.
