  1. There is a Football League meeting on Thursday 8th December and the issue of a possible points deduction is on the agenda.
  2. No chance it will be live on TV. If it were at Fratton Park, perhaps. But there are plenty of more appealing games and at Stamford Bridge it is a home banker.
  3. Hopefully for your sake you are on a wind up. But in case you aren't... - 17th in a league of 24 isn't midtable. - 17th in the Championship in 2010/11 had 56 points from 46 games. Saints currently have 42 points from 20 games. Do you really think Saints will only pick up 14 points from the remaining 26 games? That would be something like Play 26 Win 3 Draw 5 Lose 18
  4. The best thing about most of these suggestions is that there is very little they can come back at us with. Apart from calling us "scummers", what can they do that is witty towards a club that is financially secure and top of the league?
  5. Adkins said on Tuesday after the game that Fox had a pelvis injury.
  6. Mark Fry was confident Saints had a good chance of avoiding a points deduction and look what happened. He also thought Saints had a good chance in an appeal.
  7. He does that every game.
  8. Hardly! He has been owned by just two clubs (Bournemouth and Wolves). He only recently turned 22, it is not unusual to be loaned out to a number of clubs to gain experience.
  9. What can Sunderland offer Adkins that he can't do at Saints in the next few years?
  10. He has already stated he is retiring at the end of the season.
  11. This lot... http://www.converssport.com/companies Largely all very recent acquisitions, and possibly all funded using the "alleged" stolen cash from the Lithuanian and Latvian banks in order to clean it.
  12. Andrew Andronikou says the club only has funds "until the turn of the new year". http://audioboo.fm/boos/567341 So a month and ticking... Although to me he doesn't sound overly confident the Football League won't impose penalties even though he says he is early on in the interview. Mark Fry when appointed Saints administrator in 2009 was confident they wouldn't be deducted points.
  13. You say "prudent", but overlook the amount of money shown in the accounts Liebherr put in during the first season. Rupert Lowe didn't put any money of note in, nor did he spend on Staplewood anywhere near the amount the club are currently spending.
  14. 1) Did Saints need to spend more than Leicester this summer? We are 13 points ahead of them so the squad already built was clearly good enough and just needed a little extra. 2) Did Rupert Lowe invest £20.4m of his own money into the club at any point? The Liebherr's did in 2009/10, future accounts will show if any more has gone in. 3) Did Rupert Lowe fund a training ground and academy development that wouldn't look out of place at a current top 6 Premier League side?
  15. You make this too easy...! The last time we played Bolton Wanderers in midweek, at St Mary's, in the Premier League it was a sell out... Wednesday 25th August 2004 vs Bolton 30,713 The empty seats due to Bolton bringing a small number of fans from Lancashire on a week night, the home end was sold out. Plus that was the year Saints came 20th in the league and were relegated, so were hardly a crowd puller in their own right.
  16. It'll be a diamond midfield, like Adkins has used throughout the season. Cork and Hammond will be relatively narrow and the full backs will provide the width. Davis Richardson Fonte Hooiveld Harding Schneiderlin Cork Hammond Lallana Lambert Guly
  17. No they didn't, because that would be insane. Southampton Leisure Holdings was set up 7 years before the Football League's insolvency rules were implemented.
  18. Radio Solent Twitter in last few minutes... solentsport BBC Radio Solent football league board will consider docking #Pompey points, when they have all relevant information relating to CSI's administration 3 minutes ago Favorite Retweet Reply

  20. Where did the money for their large summer spending come from Huseklupp, Norris, Varney etc? If it came from Antonov robbing Lithunian/Latvian bank customers then that source has now ended and they may want the money back from Pompey.
  21. He didn't really have mush of a case then, as Pompey were in the Premier League and Saints were in the Football League, two different governing bodies. He might this time though...
  22. The "proposed rule" states "two admins in a three year period" as a company, not "two admins whilst a Football League Club".
  23. What makes you think any improvement to St Mary's wouldn't make it better? There is even talk of a completely new stadium being built rather than just an expansion. Whilst in the Premier League Saints averaged over 30k in every season at St Mary's (including the relegation season). They sold out games against both the larger and smaller Premier League clubs on a regular basis. We have even had sell outs whilst in the Championship and League One.
  24. Where did the money for Huseklupp, Varney, Norris etc in the summer for either big fees and/or big wages come from? Plus they still have others on huge wages like Ben Haim, Kitson, Lawrence etc. David Lampitt stated recently they were they were the second highest net spenders in the summer transfer window. How did they manage to fund that and continue to fund that wage bill and the CVA that is yet to start?
