  1. The 8,250 seats Brighton are adding to their stadium don't take up much room, the Saints picture look more substantial in size. If you bothered to read the context of the post, Kraken and I were discussing how big the Saints drawings made the stadium. I was showing him what 8,250 seats looks like when added to an existing stadium, using Brighton as an example. Those 8,250 seats at the Amex compared to the Saints drawings look relatively small.
  2. This is what adding 8,250 seats to Brighton's Amex Stadium looks like.... http://www.thefootballforum.net/index.php?/topic/211717-amex-stadium-expanding/ Saints' plans look a lot more substantial than that.
  3. Mr Kraken, I think you've said before you can see a 40k stadium for Saints at some point in the future. It is hard to tell as you can't see inside the stadium clearly, but what do you think the images look like in terms of capacity? Kingsland, Northam and Chapel all have been expanded, so I would think there is more than just 8k seats added. Those images look more like 45k (possibly more).
  4. Nothing currently on the council's planning website for the stadium... http://publicaccess.southampton.gov.uk/PublicAccess/propdb/property/property_history_summary.aspx?blpukeyval=002MC5OZBU000&lpikeyval=00253AOZLI000&module=P3&historymodule=DC
  5. Do you think these proposals have "character"?
  6. Can someone put the video of just the bit about the stadium on Youtube please?
  7. Wolves managed to knock down an entire stand in May and had people watching games in the lower tier of the new stand in September of the same year whilst work progressed on finishing the upper tier and rest of the stand.
  8. The outside... All looks a lot more professional than ever before.
  9. Players back in training on the 28th June, Nigel Adkins says he would like to think there will one or two additions before that date (said with a huge grin on his face). So the next 10 days will be interesting...
  10. Lennon and Adkins pretty much confirmed the bids went in.
  11. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/pompey-s-2012-13-fixtures-south-coast-derby-first-up-1-3962693 "Pompey will start their League One campaign with a mouthwatering south coast derby clash against Bournemouth."
  12. Ryan Babel... http://www.caughtoffside.com/2012/06/18/southampton-keen-on-former-liverpool-flop-ryan-babel/
  13. It is random, so no-one else will.
  14. Yep, things have moved on a long way in the 11 years since 2001 when the current ones were installed. For a start it will be in HD.
  15. We should aim to beat this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjXXYVLA9Pk
  16. As I said in the opening post, it is on page 12 of the document, where it says... Big Screen Advertising New LED screens for 2012/13 season.
  17. It is on the OS under the commercial tab > sponsorship It isn't for season ticket holders, it is to attract corporate sponsorship and ticket sales in the Premier League.
  18. It was not officially announced before, so the 15k was only people guessing and they weren't far out.
  19. Round two of Adkins vs Mancini
  20. I didn't say it was the best did I? It is above average though in the Premier League and has a number of features better than some of the really big clubs. At a £15 million cost, you would expect that, thats £15 million without the cost of the land or the existing training dome structure.
  21. You said... In any case, the screens are now 11 years old, the changing rooms were 10 years old when they were done, the corporate facilities needed a face lift for Premier League corporate of 2012 compared to the last time we were in the league, Staplewood had fallen behind a number of clubs etc etc. Cortese is doing what needs to be done for us to compete against Premier League rivals.
  22. The Staplewood development goes over and beyond merely "the standard for the Premier League".
