I was confident until I heard Adkins post match interview today. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/player/LatestNews/0,,10280,00.html Reading between the lines it sounds like Alex will goto Arsenal at some point. Not this window, but relatively soon.

So you are a Man Utd fan? http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?192292-Dear-Southampton Quite a big coincidence wouldn't you say Mr Admin with 13k posts on a Brighton forum? Grow up...

BHA has made the exact same thread on North Stand Chat. Surprisingly he is an admin of their main message board with over 13,000 posts. Thankfully none of our mods are so pathetic they would come over to a rival teams forum and post such drivel. http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?192292-Dear-Southampton...

Have people forgotten he was walking around before todays game for all to see and collected an award at pitchside before the match kicked off. He really isn't "that" badly injured.

Now this is what you call chocolate boxes...

Chamberlain only occasionally plays upfront. I think chants should at least be accurate (like the Lee Barnard one ).

If you actually look at it, rather than criticise you will see it is quite different from the order in the actual league table. If updated over the rest of the season it will give an ever clearer picture of how the table is panning out irrespective of games in hand.

46 Games, 3 points for a win, 138 points available to all 24 League One teams when we all woke up on the morning of 7th August 2010. How is everyone doing now? Morning of 15th January 2011 Team Name Possible Points Brighton & Hove Albion 115 Southampton 109 Peterborough United 108 Hartlepool United 107 Charlton Athletic 106 Colchester United 106 AFC Bournemouth 105 Huddersfield Town 105 Sheffield Wednesday 105 Oldham Athletic 104 Notts County 104 Rochdale 103 Carlisle United 103 MK Dons 102 Leyton Orient 102 Brentford 98 Tranmere Rovers 98 Exeter City 97 Plymouth Argyle 96 Yeovil Town 95 Bristol Rovers 95 Swindon Town 94 Dag & Red 90 Walsall 85 If you actually look at it, rather than criticise (like some have already) you will see it is quite different from the order in the actual league table. Each time a team loses you knock off 3 points, a draw you knock off 2 point and a win the figure remains the same. If updated over the rest of the season it will give an ever clearer picture of how the table is panning out irrespective of games in hand.

Before the game Bournemouth could get 108 points this season, now they can only get 105 points. Before the game Saints could get 109 points this season, now they can still get 109 points.

The fire extinguisher came within a metre of killing someone. He deserved what he got for being so stupid.

Adam had six months left on his contract. Alex has two and a half years.

The article is just a small part of the interview that can be seen in full on Saints Player. Adkins says in it that Chamberlain won't be sold. Watch it and see... Also Cortese said in December in an interview with the BBC that Chamberlain and Lallana won't be sold. With Lallana signing a four and a half year deal it looks like Cortese means business and the journalists just aren't aware of the financial situation at Saints.
-
Adkins doesn't divulge all the injury information as it gives him an advantage over the other manager.

This has been on the Arsenal OS for a while... http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/wenger-no-move-for-oxlade-chamberlain

Or they maybe Barnard's mates.

Crystal Palace first wore their sash kit in 1976. 91 years after Saints first did!
-
How do you know that?
-
No you weren't. Plus my thread title isn't vague with just a persons name.

What I meant was for the first 65 years of the clubs history (1885 to 1950) they didn't have black shorts or white/red socks. 65 years is 52% of its history! Blue socks are very different to red/white socks. The blue used wasn't that dark so not similar to black shorts. Your argument is fundamentally flawed...
-
So what about Saints wearing blue shorts and socks for 52% of their existence? Should the kit in 2011/12 have blue shorts and blue socks?
-
Those quotes are from an interview Adkins did with the BBC yesterday and the whole interview is available in full on Saints Player.
-
Watch the interivew in full on Saints Player and he does. As did Cortese in December.

"Alex is not going to go anywhere - we're talking about a very young player in the first year of a professional contract." Nicola Cortese in BBC interview 8th December 2010
