  1. I refer you to the question I asked Steve three times without an answer.
  2. Here goes... I reckon a 3 way love triangle between Ali Dia, Alan Pardew and Nicola Cortese got out of hand. EDIT: Damn Joesuu taking post 17!
  3. How could you forget Mick Channon?
  4. I'll ask for the third and last time... Steve, Do you have proof that the discussions between Cortese and Liebherr about Pardew came before the 17th May? If they came afterwards then it isn't a lie and your allegations of Cortese lying are incorrect and goes against your sticky thread. As once_bitterne pointed out. (p.s. Please don't threaten to ban me again for asking a reasonable question. )
  5. I'll ask again... Do you have proof that the discussions between Cortese and Liebherr about Pardew came before the 17th May? If they came afterwards then it isn't a lie and your allegations of Cortese lying are incorrect.

  7. It doesn't at all, as the reasons for Pardew's sacking have not been revealed.
  8. Mitchell has admitted today he isn't 100% sure it is true, as it was just information fed to him by unknown sources. He is backtracking. In any case he hasn't disputed the issue over the bar bill. If drinks were free in the boardroom why would their be a tab? They wouldn't need to keep record of each drink he ordered if they were going to be free so it is just bull**** from Mitchell. What has Cortese lied about Steve?
  9. So do you invite people to your house that have made lies about you in public and not paid debts they owe you?
  10. Who is probably acting as his translator.
  11. You can never tell when people are being serious in the medium of a fans messageboard.
  12. That isn't the actual team photo. That is an image from Jordan Sibley the clubs spokesman standing to the side of the official photographer and probably using a small digital camera or mobile phone.
  13. Make a feature request on the forums then.
  14. Highlights and interviews from the game are now on Saints Player.
  15. But welcome none the less
  16. The academy is Jason Dodd's under 18 side which players in the academy leagues. This game against Brighton was Martin Hunter's development side(basically what used to be the reserves). The two are very different things.
  17. I think they arrange games at very short notice so will be hard to get a "fixture list". They may have a few long term ones penned in but they have much more flexibility now with no league fixtures.
  18. I'm impressed with the Yeovil commentary from BBC Radio Somerset. The guy has done his research on Saints and knows a lot more about them than most away team commentators do.
  19. Alexander Ostlund was right back for most of the later part of 2006/07. Chris Baird played occasionally at right back before moving to centre back in 2006/07 and Jermaine Wright also had games at right back.
  20. Guly is a central midfielder. I said those four can and have all played as "second strikers".
  21. The Yeovil one is working fine. More interesting hearing the opposition commentary.
  22. Lallana, Puncheon, Chamberlain and Guly can all play as a second striker. Better to have experienced attacking midfielder subs on the bench than a youth team striker. Dickson, Guly, Holmes, Lallana are all midfielders on the bench.
  23. Who said he was picking the team? With pretty much every club in the world the final say if a player is signed is by one of the money men. After all it is their money and investing in a player is a big financial commitment. It would be daft for it to be any other way. Obviously it is not good if Cortese signs players the manager doesn't want (but there is no evidence of that), but I think he is well within his rights to refuse to sign a player recommended to him by the football staff as it is him running the money side. Signings come from consultation between the scouting staff, coaching staff and board, as it would be at any sensible club.
  24. No, but it is the most notable thing in the 30 miles between the two.
  25. The AFC Bournemouth website and a few other national and local media outlets are calling it the "New Forest Derby".
