Especially as Exeter wouldn't bring as many away fans as Man Utd, Arsenal etc.

Well he was 5th choice at best for a central midfield spot behind Hammond, Chaplow, Schneiderlin and Gobern. Possibly even McNish and Ward-Prowse would put Wotton even further down the pecking order soon.
