  1. - Guly is not a wide player really. Puncheon although frustrating at times is still very dangerous at this level. - Who is Seabourne? - Fonte will be back.
  2. Listen to Nigel Adkins in interview and you will find out why. He has mentioned a number of times he doesn't like to make public this information as it gives the opposition a clue as to how Saints might play. Thus he wants to keep injury news a secret as it gives an advantage. It may mean the opposition don't know how to prepare if they don't know who will start for Saints. That is more important than telling the fanbase what is happening and could be the difference between a win/lose/draw.
  3. He is 23 and a half. He still worries me greatly. He doesn't seem to be able to judge when to jump for a header and his general reading of the game is poor. He'll get found out if he ever plays at a higher level than League One. I don't think he is the man we need to partner Fonte should Saints get to the Championship. Martin shows much more potential in my opinion.
  4. Nigel Adkins and Alan Irvine post match interviews are available to watch on Owls Player. You can use your Saints Player username and password to watch them both as they haven't been put on Saints Player yet. It is a different interview from Adkins to the one heard on BBC Solent.
  5. Closes on 25th November and then reopens on 1st January.
  6. Also if Saints were to sell him, he'd cost roughly £2m, which Palace couldn't afford.
  7. Needs to be slightly more than that as an average I reckon due to the already poor start taking up 8 of the 46 games.
  8. He has a thigh strain and should be back for the Yeovil game on Tuesday.
  9. Why is it "picky"? If it is a foul throw, it should be given as a foul throw.
  10. Yep, it is a huge pitch. Alan Irvine asked for it to be made as big as the rules allow in the summer with a view to exploit League One defenses.
  11. It does take you quite a bit closer to the action than FM10. Any closer and the lack of graphics would give it away, as the players are no where near as detailed as they are on FIFA or PES. FM still has a long way to go animations and modal wise but is improving significantly each edition, it will never be as good graphically as FIFA or PES of course, but I'd say the underlying engine is a better representation of a real football match. Although purely cosmetic I think the buildings surrounding the stadium are a nice touch which gives the game more atmosphere than just a green field as it had previously. I doubt I'll use the twitter or youtube feature much, but I'd imagine lots will find it fun. The twitter one may become a tad excessive if you see it in loads of feeds and will get boring. The youtube feature will make it easier to report on career games you have and should prove popular I think.
  12. It gives a more zoomed in camera view similar to that of what you would see for a TV game, which wasn't possible before due to licensing issues.
  13. New match engine videos (all still work in progress) New for FM11 "TV Match view"... [video=youtube;fi3B-rIqY6k] Other match views... Social Network Features 1) The Football Manager series will introduce the ability to upload videos from the hugely improved Match Engine directly to a YouTube account. 2) Via Twitter, managers can set manual or automatic updates of achievements to their Twitter account.
  14. No two injuries are ever the same. Yes, both might be labelled as dislocated shoulders, doesn't mean they did the same amount of damage though.
  15. It is a very complicated joint and dislocating it may have caused untold damage to the surrounding muscles and ligaments which take months to repair.
  16. Saints don't play in the reserve league anymore after pulling out along with a number of other clubs. So it isn't the reserves as traditionally used at Saints. They will be playing friendlies home and abroad all season. Lots of other teams use the term "development squad". Martin Hunter is the coach of this side... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2090243,00.html
  17. Unlikely (but not impossible) Guly, Holmes and Dickson will start on Saturday as they were used for this rather than working with the 1st team in training.
  18. MK Dons away = 3 minutes Bristol Rovers away = 3 minutes Which is better than the BBC.
  19. No official SI/SEGA updates are ever released beyond the February update. Plenty of unofficial ones are available if you type "Football Manager Updates" into Google. Such as... http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=3304
  20. Roots Hall was initially built in the 1950's and doesn't have the same turnstile per seat ratio that St Mary's does. So it is not as simple as just looking at St Mary's 32k and Roots Hall's 12k.
  21. Southend United don't have a 32k stadium, with the number of turnstiles required for a 32k stadium. So it would be a lot cheaper for them.
  22. Contracts for professional footballers in England end on 30th June each year, not a year/two years/three years to the day they were signed.
  23. Innocent until proven guilty was how I believed the justice system in this country worked?
  24. A large number of loans with views to buy, don't happen.
  25. Then why do Cesena list him as their player on their official website? http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cesenacalcio.it%2Findex.php%3Foption%3Dcom_content%26view%3Darticle%26id%3D3659%3Ado-prado-al-southampton%26catid%3D1%3Anews%26Itemid%3D124 And why do the Football League (the governing body that registers players) also list it as a loan deal? Are they also in on this conspiracy? Why would they be complicit?
