Leicester City didn't do too badly with a new manager last season. I think the shelf life most managers is only about two or three years, with a couple of notable exceptions.

If the offer wasn't more than £20m, rather than strengthen spurs or Liverpool, I would make him see out his contract. Probably worth several million in place money next season for Southampton. Accepting whats been quoted doesn't seem to make sense anyway for us!

I'd like to know which manager hasn't got a demanding abrasive style. Part of the job I would have thought.........

What about David Speedie, did nothing much in a Saints shirt. But I think I'm correct in saying, while on loan at wham scored the goal that took wham up, at the expense of poopey. The pompey fans still detest Leicester to this day for finishing sixth to poopies third that season, but seeing off poopey in the play offs. With their elephantine memories they sure don't like Leicester City.

I just wish we could see footage of the away fans when Plymouth scored. Just think in the time poopey have been in League 2, Bristol Rovers have been relegated to the conference, come back up again, and gone on to get promoted to League 1!!

Well the finest shops on the South Coast can look forward to being mentioned in the same breath as Barcelona, Amsterdam, Milan, Paris and now Southampton. Should be good for the cities profile.
