it only remains to be seen when we have a another referendum in three or four years time to rejoin the European Union. Following the disastrous negotiations of David Davis and Liam Fox to secure other deals. Being forced to agreeing to the Euro, accepting free movement of people ,Schengen etc, losing the rebates Margaret Thatcher won for us. All tossed away by the brexiteers.

Perhaps it should be down to the football authorities to restrict the number of players any club can transfer in, during a given period. Or even ban transfers between clubs at the same level. Or exercise some sort of controls over transfers. I'm sure someone will know, but is it American football that gives the weakest teams first pick of the college kids every year?

I wonder if we shall ever find out exactly what Saints received for him, the £13m to 15m would suggest add ons!?

Be very sorry to see him go. Over the last couple of years Graziano seems to have been the player making me jump up, either at SMS or from the armchair and punch the air. Exploits both for Saints and Italy. Thanks for the memories and good luck.

Agreed it's not all about blowing huge amounts of cash all over the place. However, by the same calculations and reasoning any future spend on transfers by Southampton will also be spread over instalments going forward. As the money is mostly guaranteed, except for a couple of million here and there, that money is all potentially available by the board to spend now!
