Apart from the MK Dons, most clubs who expand their stadiums or move to a much larger new ground seem to attract the fans to fill them. I can think of Southampton, Brighton, West Ham, Manchester City, Swansea and Hull just of the top my head.
Well I suppose they the only football club with the word community in their name. I wish the media would start using their correct name. After all every time Chester's name appear on a video printer or in the results listing, FC is always included in their name.
You make some very good points. But to to be honest in a professional game it was never representative of being Hampshires finest against Lancashires best. The best footballers are always going to be drawn to the richest football clubs in the world, wherever they are. Fans have always been another matter entirely, although sadly it would now seem even those who are wealthiest are drawn to the richest and most famous clubs.
I think its somehow worse because it was such a good goal, with Cedric being quicker and disposessing there man beating the next followed by an excellent cross etc etc
Look at the positives, we appear to have unearthed an absolute gem in Gabbiadini. Lets just hope the management grow a pair when Liverpool and ManU come calling in the summer!
Just got on a tube at Piccadilly and got talking to a load of Southampton fans, a Cup final or something is on tomorrow. Should have asked them if they were on here!
Why can SSN only talk about Manure?
I can't imagine that a half fit out of contract CB of whatever previous quality would be able to demand 100k per week. Nobody else has exactly been battering on his door to sign him.
I can't believe any true Southampton fan wouldn't happily take relegation, after the sheer joy of winning the league. Winning the league is a joy that lasts for ever( as any poopey fan will tell you, even though none actually remember it!) Just treading water in the Premier League isn't all its cracked up to be.
and yet Watford and Burnley same number of points as Southampton, are 33/1 and 22/1 respectively with https://m.oddschecker.com/m/football/english/premier-league/relegation........
