I see they were really pulling Fonte to pieces on Gillette Soccer Saturday today! Phil Thompson pondering just what had caused the decline in his play following the transfer! He did seem to suggest it was playing alongside quality players at Southampton that made him perhaps look better.
Not sure our season is finished. On Match Of the Day last night both Wham and Burnley were being discussed as relegation contenders. Our recent record and points tally isn't much better than either of those two!
It seems that the advert has been tweaked slightly since first shown. Now you only seem to see the back view of the players, no sign of the club badge! Perhaps Virgin sales were falling off in the PO post code area?
It says in one of the Red tops today that should the takeover go through, Claude Puel will be handed a monster transfer kitty and enough money to keep VVD out of the clutches of Man City!!
I thought those figures at the time were Shaw 27m (+add ons) Lallana 25m (- 6m to Bournemouth) Lovren 20m, Chambers 11m (plus 5m add ons) Lambert 4m, Cork 3m. So about £89m. So if they only paid out about £4m in agents fees, that would be a result.........
Apart from the MK Dons, most clubs who expand their stadiums or move to a much larger new ground seem to attract the fans to fill them. I can think of Southampton, Brighton, West Ham, Manchester City, Swansea and Hull just of the top my head.
Well I suppose they the only football club with the word community in their name. I wish the media would start using their correct name. After all every time Chester's name appear on a video printer or in the results listing, FC is always included in their name.
