I think it's fairly obvious why he became disillusioned, he was tapped up. If I was any of the top football clubs in the world, I would run a mile from someone as unprofessional as VVD......

The thing that baffles me about the whole VVD issue is, that there never has been an offer, as far as I know, made by anyone Liverpool included, for his services. No transfer bid has ever been rejected by Southampton, so why is he refusing to cooperate?

How could you ever equate transfer deal involving Gareth Bale and Tommy Forecast......?

It just makes you wonder about football and the scale of monies being chucked about. On the other hand if Hoedt is as good as we are being led to believe, it makes that transfer deal look an absolute steal.
