I agree the word 'investment' was the wrong word to use. It's just a word that football fans the world over bandy around, when what they really mean is to get the owner or someone to chuck money down a bottomless pit. I think I used this word as way of an explanation to people, who have been wondering why our supposedly billionaire owner has not been forthcoming with money to spend on team strengthening. Not that I necessarily agree with chucking money around, with no tangible return. For what it is worth I see Man City have already spent £219m( I have not used the word investment) this window, with Chelsea threatening to match them, where does this leave FFP?
