I think I've only been referring to the stadium as St Mary's the last few years. I still called it 'The Dell' for years...

Exeter City really does have the real St James' Park now then? (TM Socceram, when it was good..)

Really? How do you know this then, you hang around with him? What we see as the public is his comedy persona. He eggs it on to make it funny, I agree at times it has become a little boring (stuff he writes on his blog) and the last stand up was poor compared to the rest. But how do you know what he's really like? A lot people seem to think he's arrogant, yet, as you say if you listen to other interviews like on Inside the Actor's Studio and Desert Island Discs, he's clearly not. He is extremely humble, grateful of his position and as very knowlegeable and intelligent. People who think he's arrogant, just don't get his media character (IMO). I, too, have listened to the all the Podcasts XFM Radio Shows etc and agree, this TV show isn't as good as anything else they've been involved in. Karl's views are funny, but the Podcasts and Audio Books were still the best thing the three of them have done.

Oh, and I've just remembered how he pulled Dean Richards' (RIP) pants down at Elland Road, to score a very good goal...

I agree that now we shouldn't be going for a player like this. But, to be fair to Smith, he was far from an 'awful' player. Was very decent at Leeds and has got 19 England caps. At 31, I'm sure he'll do a decent job for a C'ship side. Maybe even Leeds, if they'll have him back after signing for Utd.

Was this ever confirmed by the club?

I've just disturbed a burglar in my house
Saint Mikey replied to Johnny Bognor's topic in The Lounge
Not really. I used to be a serial burgular, and I'd just take a nice juicy steak with some rat poison in it - shuts them up long enough for you to go about your business. -
Things have changed an awful lot in football since 1997. N.I. for example have been fighting for players since a load of youngsters decided to opt for EIRE and do have players from predominantly the C'ship and some League 1. They may have enquired about his eligibility, but he may not have been eligible or willing to play. Wales are similar.
-
He's eligible, but I'd say rightly or wrongly, he has the following in front of him: Rooney Bent Carroll Defoe Wellbeck Zamora Sturridge Crouch Heskey Owen C. Cole Bothroyd K. Davies Plus younger players from the U21's like: Wickham Waghorn Sordell Rodriguez Plus players played out of position, like: Gerrard Young Cleverley Walcott AOC If all or most of these get injured, he may get a sniff. Also, if he was eligible for another Association, they would have tapped him up already. Esp, if it was N.I. or Wales.

Do you think we should man mark him then? I'd hate to see him pop up and score...

Is this better than MDMA?

This whole post points to me that you haven't got a f**king clue what you're talking about.

He'll be part of the matchday squad, I'd imagine. Whether he makes the final 16 is another matter. Looks like Dickson and Holmes aren't part of Nige's plans. Is this Holmes' last year? I think we gave him a 4 year (gulp!) deal. May do a job for a Lge 1 team on loan. He just aswell try and get games if he's fit. He hasn't played much in the past 3 seasons here, and not much before that either...

We could field nearly a whole defence of Dans/Danny's: (young) Danny Butterfield - Dan Seaborne - Dan Harding - Danny Fox
-
He won't fill in at CB, he's an attacking LB. Quality signing, although not entirely sure we need him. Or, I should say, I think we need a CB more.
-
Can't see why people are thinking this is well beyond the realms of possibility. Wolves only ever play 4-5-1, with 2 attacking wingers and an attacking CM. At the moment they would play: 1st: Doyle 2nd: Fletcher Then anyone from: Ebanks-Blake Keogh Maierhofer Vokes The last two haven't played a lot and aren't probably in the Manager's plans, but Ebanks-Blake is still 3rd or 4th choice in a team that only plays one up. Their squad is also massive and may need a trim. Not saying it will happen, but I am willing it to happen! Would be a great signing...

How many people have moved ST seats this season?
Saint Mikey replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
I was contemplating moving, as there was a right irritating old codger behind us last season. I didn't though and I'm now hoping that he's a victim of Cortese's Age Discrimination policy, or he's karked it. -
Some nice comments from the German Media!
Saint Mikey replied to georgeweahscousin's topic in The Saints
Don't want to p!ss on anyone's fire, as the comments are good. However, Bild is like a Sun/Daily Star hybrid. It's the most sold daily, but it's certainly not a credible paper in Germany. -
Personally, I'm disgusted with this comment. This song is our heritage. Markus even liked singing that song. I suggest you have a good look at yourself, we don't need fans like you.
-
Lolz. Do you mean Arabic?
-
Why don't you take a stat that isn't affected by the size of our respective grounds then? What about away support? Yours is p!ss poor, and I'd like to see you defend it...although I'm sure you will come up with a load of ******.

I guess this must be the main reason. Why mention Financial Fair Play in that article otherwise?
