  1. Where did this story come from? I've only got one question: why? I'm all for these things if there's a good reason, i.e. cloning etc.
  2. I've said this before, and I'll say it again. It wouldn't matter about the 'poke in the eye for Creationism'. These people believe what they want to believe. Darwin's theory, the existence of dinosaurs and translating of the Rosetta Stone - pretty much stamped on the head of Creatonism and all around the same(ish) time. Religion should have completely collapsed - yet, millions of nutjobs still persist in believing that tripe...
  3. They have to be certs to go down, as things currently stand. Although, I would have said that about Plymouth last season and they scraped it. B'mouth easily stayed up too, under a transfer embargo and a 17pt deduction. Luton found 30pts too much mind you. This is the level of punishment they should still be getting...
  4. Harsh, after the finish he managed last year in the circumstances. Another example of how cut-throat football can be...
  5. Why can I find no odds for them to be relegated? Do the bookies not do this til later? I've found some for them to be promoted - the guys at William Hill must be on drugs, as they have them at 9/1!
  6. Don't feel sorry for Carrick. He made himself 'unavailable for selection'.
  7. Where was the Circle K in Lordshill? I remember one in Lordswood, by Cap'n Cods, and one in Millbrook. Not in Lordshill though?
  8. Sure you're not thinking of Jason St Juste?
  9. Agreed. I don't mind it too much, as it's very condescending. Patting them on head and saying 'well done for qualifying'...
  10. How on earth can you get that feeling, from that? Every time I see a post from you, I am so glad I don't have your bitter and twisted outlook on everything in life.
  11. How about: Rodriguez - whooah. Rodriguez – whooah. His name sounds Mexi-can. He plays like a Brazili-an. Lolz.
  12. Not sure that the Trust have a chance of buying them still. Surely, the reason why Chanrai can offer such a small amount is because he is owed a load. Anyone else making an offer that isn’t him, has to take his debt into consideration? Otherwise, if the trust offer 3p, he’ll just offer 4p etc. Of the three likely outcomes: a) Trust Ownership b) Chinny ownership c) Liquidation I like all three. In fact, I think I like the first two better. They still have a big reality check about how difficult Lge 1 is, and it will be amusing seeing them struggle year on year…
  13. I disagree. Lambert joins Norwich, and now this? We're in trouble.
  14. That's the one. Just had to look him up. Played about 35 times for S'land, although only 15 starts. Cost £3.5m and was diagnosed with a rare condition of the knee, had 10 ops and then retired completely. Like I said, dodged a bullet. £3.5m would have been a big fee for us back then...
  15. Turned out to be a huge miss too, he was quality at Leicester. Who was the winger, who may of been at Leicester, but turned us down for Sunderland? He got a bad injury and completely went off the radar. We were in the Prem at the time and he seemed a very promising youngster - dodged a bullet with that one...
  16. Remind me of how many players we managed to 'git rid of' when we were in this position. As I remember it's zero. I'm sure Lowe would have loved to get Rasiak, Saganowski, Euell, Skacel, Thomas etc all off the payroll, but we couldn't. We sent some on loan, like they did and didn't play them. We had to keep at least Thomas for another season in Lge 1, luckily the others came to the end of their contract, or we shipped them out on frees (Rasiak, Saganowski).
  17. I agree that they can't allow this to happen without punishment. In fact, it's 9pts in the Prem and had that happened this season, Utd would still have finished 2nd - still 10pts clear of 3rd...
  18. As highlighted before, if PFC were relying on this to turn their fortunes - then they are f'ing stupid. The PL/FL would have just adjusted their own rules to compensate. Otherwise loads of clubs would have gone into Admin, and taken a 10pt deduction for a clean slate...
  19. It's just the player showing loyalty, don't you know...
  20. Does this Neil Allen have a chat to Appleton every day? Sounds like he's got 'better things to do' than talk every day about players he can't sign..
  21. You're the one for me, Fatty by Morrissey...
  22. Snodgrass is exactly the type of player we should be after. Young, and wants to step up to the Prem - is also Leeds' captain. In his last year of contract, so won't cost an absolute fortune. Although prob still between £3m and £4m. If that article on the BBC isn't angling for a move, I don't know what is...
  23. Where did I say it was ok to vandalise it? I said, you're giving some pikey c*nt an open goal, if you put something like that on your car. Have a think about it, or is common sense too tough for you?
  24. No sympathy. Anyone who puts anything in or on their car that shows allegiance to any football club, opens themselves up to this sort of vandalism.
