How about: Rodriguez - whooah. Rodriguez – whooah. His name sounds Mexi-can. He plays like a Brazili-an. Lolz.

Not sure that the Trust have a chance of buying them still. Surely, the reason why Chanrai can offer such a small amount is because he is owed a load. Anyone else making an offer that isn’t him, has to take his debt into consideration? Otherwise, if the trust offer 3p, he’ll just offer 4p etc. Of the three likely outcomes: a) Trust Ownership b) Chinny ownership c) Liquidation I like all three. In fact, I think I like the first two better. They still have a big reality check about how difficult Lge 1 is, and it will be amusing seeing them struggle year on year…

I disagree. Lambert joins Norwich, and now this? We're in trouble.
-
That's the one. Just had to look him up. Played about 35 times for S'land, although only 15 starts. Cost £3.5m and was diagnosed with a rare condition of the knee, had 10 ops and then retired completely. Like I said, dodged a bullet. £3.5m would have been a big fee for us back then...

Turned out to be a huge miss too, he was quality at Leicester. Who was the winger, who may of been at Leicester, but turned us down for Sunderland? He got a bad injury and completely went off the radar. We were in the Prem at the time and he seemed a very promising youngster - dodged a bullet with that one...

Remind me of how many players we managed to 'git rid of' when we were in this position. As I remember it's zero. I'm sure Lowe would have loved to get Rasiak, Saganowski, Euell, Skacel, Thomas etc all off the payroll, but we couldn't. We sent some on loan, like they did and didn't play them. We had to keep at least Thomas for another season in Lge 1, luckily the others came to the end of their contract, or we shipped them out on frees (Rasiak, Saganowski).

I agree that they can't allow this to happen without punishment. In fact, it's 9pts in the Prem and had that happened this season, Utd would still have finished 2nd - still 10pts clear of 3rd...

As highlighted before, if PFC were relying on this to turn their fortunes - then they are f'ing stupid. The PL/FL would have just adjusted their own rules to compensate. Otherwise loads of clubs would have gone into Admin, and taken a 10pt deduction for a clean slate...

It's just the player showing loyalty, don't you know...

Does this Neil Allen have a chat to Appleton every day? Sounds like he's got 'better things to do' than talk every day about players he can't sign..

You're the one for me, Fatty by Morrissey...

Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition

Snodgrass is exactly the type of player we should be after. Young, and wants to step up to the Prem - is also Leeds' captain. In his last year of contract, so won't cost an absolute fortune. Although prob still between £3m and £4m. If that article on the BBC isn't angling for a move, I don't know what is... -
Where did I say it was ok to vandalise it? I said, you're giving some pikey c*nt an open goal, if you put something like that on your car. Have a think about it, or is common sense too tough for you?
-
No sympathy. Anyone who puts anything in or on their car that shows allegiance to any football club, opens themselves up to this sort of vandalism.
-
What's the matter JPTC? You sound tense. Fancy a pint down the London Arms??
-
Just what I was thinking. Although with Walcott's, before we cashed it in - it was 20 England competitive starts. I doubt he's got that yet...

Why are we so slow at announcing ticket prices (inc season ticket prices)?
Saint Mikey replied to dune's topic in The Saints
Why do you think we did this before and other clubs adopt this policy? It must be for cashflow reasons. We obviously have no cash flow issues, so no need to subsidise ST's for no reason - when they will sell anyway. New ST's go on sale about the 2nd July, renewals the 6th. Last season, prices were released at the end of June and went on sale mid-July. So this is an improvement, although I can't personally see why they can't get the info out now... -
I remember going to a Spurs reserve game when a lot of people where there, not sure if it was 10k. I remember Stephane Dalmat played for Spurs and stuck out like a sore thumb - he was so much better than anyone else on the pitch. Didn't ever do much for their 1st team mind you...

Was his reputation really tainted by his managerial spell? He had big shoes to fill, but did well considering the lack of investment in the team (compared to McMenemy) and having to sell his best players. No manager has achieved a higher finish since 89/90 - 7th.
-
Apparently Izale McCleod has signed a pre-contract agreement if they survive. Signing players, when they should be getting rid of them - have they got away with it again?
-
There was a story going round about a plank who did this at my school - is he fat?
-
Why? You paid for entertainment and definitely got value for money. The sooner people accept that football is a business with zero sentiment the better - as it has been like that for years and isn't about to change. Also let me ask you these questions: 1) Is there a precedence for this, i.e. has another club ever introduced such a scheme? 2) How do you work out the criteria? Is it fans who had ST's in both years in Lge 1 & C'ship? What about just one year in Lge 1, or just the C'ship? Starts getting complicated... I've had an ST for the last 3 seasons, so would qualify. However, it isn't going to happen, nor should it. The club is a business and I bet the same fans demanding 'loyalty reward' will also want the club to splash out on new players - the two don't add up.
