Massive surprise. Just hope he can do the business on the pitch. Potentially can be a very good player at this level, and is a far better option than Holmes, De Ridder, Forte and for the moment Reeves & Falque. Would love him to do well, for the team and to prove without doubt, the fickle nature of the footy fan - after I hear his name ringing out for scoring the winning goal to secure promotion....lol.

Anyone driving back to Bath/Bristol after game tonight?
Saint Mikey replied to bungle's topic in The Saints
That'll teach you. Incidentally, I need to get to the Maldives after the game. Can anyone take me there for free? -
Must have been recent? I went to Lisbon in Summer 2009 and loads of shifty mateys were trying to flog 'hash' to tourists - on the quiet and no cafes.

Who are these countries, and what are the stats? I'm interested to know, as I thought Holland in particular was backtracking (although thinking about it, that maybe more to do with tourism).

Good discussion, and some valid points made. IMO, whilst it seems a 'no-brainer' to introduce laws to legalise or de-criminalise, certainly some drugs. As with most things like this, it's massively complicated and the ramifications are pretty much unknown. There is a massive argument that if you take something like pot, than you will go on to try recreational Class A's and could move you on to Crack and Heroin etc. I know that this is true to a certain extent (certainly taking the step between hash to speed to E's/Coke). However, I think that many many people don't consider crack or heroin in the same league. Everyone knows that this is hardcore stuff. This is just one argument to keep ALL drugs (socially accepted drugs excepted) illegal. The majority of people would point to a society hooked on crack & heroin, as the hoi polloi go on a relentless quest for the better and better buzz. This would never happen, but the argument is there. Take Amsterdam as an example. I'm not sure of all the facts here, but they are now backtracking on their de-criminalisation of marijuana. I don't think that there is any evidence that the road they have taken has reduced any Class A drug addiction (i.e. Crack & Heroin). Having been there myself, I'd like to know what it was like before, if it's an improvement now!!

your club has no chane of getting a celtic star player .

Lol. Where are your 'Larssons' now? You can't afford them anymore and you lose your best players to the Championship. The SPL all time top goalscorer went to 'Boro and was sh!te. Says it all really... -
This may need a thread on its own, but I'll ask here anyway. At the moment the Pompey game is Sat, 7th April - 1pm KO and isn't on TV. Surely this has to change? If the skates have to endure the bubble, there's no way they can pull that off on a Sat, surely the roads will be too busy? Hoping it'll be on TV, as I have to go on a Stag Do and relinquish my ST...

Exactly. Chinny's got himself into this and like a gambler with huge debts, he's hoping a big win (or, a f*cking loopy individual) is round the corner...

To put this in a bit of context. Leicester spent £5m on Matt Mills this summer!

Guilty!

Exactly my thoughts. Jeez, this forum is bloody dramatic. You'd think the majority of posters were middle-aged women...

Lolz. If you (or anyone) can have a look at a player on a Club's official TV channel, then I'm sure plenty of scouts and any of the top clubs know all about him (if they rate him). I think I read somewhere that teams like Utd, Arsenal, L'pool etc, know all about all youngsters in the country down to about the age of 11, or something ridiculous like that. There is no keeping any young player 'under the radar' now.

What is this sticky stuff we are in? We are top FFS. Did you expect us to be top at the turn of the year?

Lolz. Bobby Stokes was a skate through and through...

I will normally have 7 or 8 pints, and still drive. I'm fine, and can't see why other people don't do it more. Nanny state.

Would hope we were in for him, if the price was reasonable. However, I think that a number of Prem teams could also be interested: Wigan, Norwich, Swansea, QPR, Blackburn, Bolton and Wolves all may be in for him. Plus a number of C'ship teams. Who doesn't need a pacy striker with a decent goalscoring record, available at a knock-down of the market value due to the length of contract? It will all depend on how much we bid, how much we are willing to pay in wages and the lad's ambition. The article states he's wants Prem footy, yet I'd question whether going to some of the clubs I've listed above was a good career move. However, as we all know, money talks in footy...

People stopping me in the High St trying to get me to donate to Charity. I'm busy, yer c*nts. Beggars hanging outside Tesco Express and asking me for money everytime I go in there. I try not finance other people's drug/alcohol problems, yer c*nts. All manner of c*nts that put things through my door, or have the gall to knock on my door and ask me for money for charity. Yer cheeky c*nts.

Yeah, but only while they were in Lge 2 and away from the spotlight. Or, did they receive a points penalty in Lge 1 aswell?

Quality stuff. But, I take that and raise you, 1.30 is where it's at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kd6wlo9Gbkk

With a dash of Fonte's missus/Pardew? When something happens that people can't understand and very few people know the real truth, these sort of rumours always surface. Especially as the people who do actually know what has happened will, understandably, not want the world to know their private life. File under B, for Boll*cks.

I've recently remembered Origin Unknown's, Speed of Sound album and stuck it on my iPod. Check these beauties out though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc9zfd-HPrw This album also has Valley of the Shadows and Truly One. One of the best pre-2000 D'n'B albums, probably beaten only by Sound in Motion by the same artists (Andy-C and Ant Miles). That album has these classics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rS-R8X33LgU These are probably my favourite albums of yester-year, and it's difficult to pin down a specific track (I've got about 600 D'n'B records!). This track is probably the track of my youth! Turn the bass up!

Religious leaders would always make up some big load of garbage, and/or just ignore it. Look what the discovery of dinosaurs should have done to all faiths everywhere. The translation of the Rosetta Stone gave scholars the means to find out that parts of the bible were just wrong and/or made up. Carbon dating.....I could go on. People will just believe what they want to believe, despite the facts that are presented to them.

If you're over the age of 14, you shouldn't even own a replica shirt...
