  1. I for one FF appreciate your post, I think she does have the club at heart and we could have a far worse owner. No need for VS to call her Fraulein either.
  2. Most EPL clubs have 2 "no.1's" just too many games and long distance travelling for one goalie to play in every game.
  3. If true then another show of petulance and lack of professionalism from a well paid player. I know this sort of thing happens but it seems to be worse than ever this year, the tail is certainly wagging the dog these days.
  4. Jonathan Forte with his goals against MK Dons, a turning point during the season, I think he scored 2 last weekend and got MOM for Oldham
  5. Daily Echo reporting that there has been no bids for Jack Cork.
  6. I suppose there was no training today as our match is Sunday, love all the sleuths on here though.
  7. Every time I hear of a player being signed who may have an injury I think of Delgado, sends shivers down my spine.
  8. In yesterdays Mail PL preview, 3 journalists name him as one for an England breakthrough and Jamie Rednapp rates him as one to watch. Whatever your thoughts are of these people JWP is obviously highly rated by them.
  9. Not worried or concerned about the board, we have had far worse, why should they or the owner explain anything to us, either buy a ticket or don't and if the attendance is low they will get the message. I seem to remember that Keegan was sold after we bought our season tickets so none of this is new just be careful what you wish for, lets face it, our current owner/board won't deliberately want to struggle and will try and get the right players in to retain premiership status, even if it's for their benefit and not the supporters.
  10. Lovren was a PL unknown quantity last season and people were "underwhelmed" by his signing and now a £20m player, we all knew Shaw was a good prospect but unsure about a full PL season, he's earned us £26m, Lallana was often criticised for not lasting 90 minutes, Ricky was taking some forum stick for being slow and rumoured to be going to Wetsham in January, Chambers was another prospect but not first choice for a start every game and Osvaldo was never coming back. We are never going to replace some of them "like for like" because the top teams have bought them for being the best around so our replacements are going to be at least second best. Once Manu are back and LVG has said who are being released and if Celtic get knocked out the CL they will want to sell for cashflow then I think we will some movement, if nothing from those two clubs then actively recruiting elsewhere.
  11. Probably had to pay Chelski a few bob for him, not a free signing.
  12. Let's face it, most on here are going to knock any and every signing unless it's a £25m one. Price ain't everything, look at Osvaldo, this could be a good signing and worth a punt and should at least be ready for first team action. May even be fitter than LS.
  13. Just be careful what you wish for, look at some of the other owners, far more eccentric than what we have.
  14. Looking good, Staplewood now stretches from Staplewood Lane to Twiggs Lane in length, huge area and certainly being done for the long term.
  15. Bloody sad I know, but I was thinking this yesterday when I drove through Ottery on my way to Torquay.
  16. I wonder how man pink kits they sold last season.
  17. Brilliant. ManU sponsor can only be for the foreign market because I am sure Chevrolet have/going to, pull out of the UK.
  18. Clubs with WC players won't have a pre-season for a few weeks, by that time we should have a few in and be on par. Excited for the new season but not expecting 8th again, we overachieved but having said that did drop some stupid points. Hopefully RK won't snub the cup this time.
  19. Probably negotiating returning the watch or demanding a better one as a "loyalty" bonus
  20. You telling me it's not the chance of a lifetime, we may not be a small club but we're certainly not a big one. Get real.
  21. I don't know anyone who wouldn't change jobs to better themselves. One of my relatives is moaning like hell about disloyalty but he constantly asks on Facebook if there are any sales jobs going with better pay and hours as he thinks he is worth more. The situation has arisen for these players and it would be wrong to deny them the chance of a lifetime, our good season coupled with their WC selection cements their value and that includes Morgan and Dejan, we are victims of our own success. At least we have the funds to start again and should stay well clear of the bottom three.
  22. I don't particularly like John Terry but he is far better than what we got at the back and being there for corners. I think Suarez would have had a few bruises and possibly slowed down a bit had JT been there. The next generation of centre backs don't bode well for England IMO.
  23. It could have been 4-1, hit the post and bar with one off the line but that's football, near misses don't count. I'm no expert or tactician but I would have thought a plan B when you are needing a goal is to bring on a natural goal scorer. Rooney was found a position opposed to dropping him but his cross for the goal was superb.
  24. So the transfer window must open immediately after the final game but out of contract players stay until 30th June.
  25. I would say the opposite, very attractive job and probably a lot of good applicants that is making it difficult to select. Like Saint Armstrong says, it hasn't done AP or MP bad and even raised Nigels profile. One thing for sure though, when the appointments made there will be a lot of bedwetters predicting doom and gloom.
