The Cortese Tax - OFT probe into firms 'profiting from plastic'
Pedro replied to dune's topic in The Saints
Same as concert tickets, loads of add ons, a lot of people, even some garages, charge a percentage if a credit card used. -
My memory not too good, wasn't the ABC called the Forum, booked to see PJ Proby there but he split his trousers and was replaced on the tour by Tom Jones. Also saw Cilla Black in concert there. My old uncle was one of the dirty mac brigade who used to watch the late night movies at the Classic.

More mens shops, Paul Temple (I think) and Shirt king

When one company buys out another (especially if it was close to liquidation) then surely the incumbents select which of the outgoing personnel they want to retain and trust. Thats how I view the current situation, NC is a top foreign businessman (not necessarily a football club chairman) who wants to see his investment at the very least break even. Considering his business happens to be a football club he knows that there are certain criteria he has to involved in but doesn't have to mean that he has to suck up to people from the past just for the sake of it. Just how many players, managers, coaches and hangers on are we expected to accomodate free of charge, I quite like the fact that most of the leaks have been plugged from Stapelwood and that the ****stirrers have moved on. We won't appreciate NC until such time he has gone.

My old 96 year old dad has a great memory, born and bred in town, lived here all his life. I remember him telling me about the mass grave in Houndwell and the German Shot down in the Avenue, will ask him again the details. Good to see Sid Paddock and Roy Rose remembered, Roy's son is Kim who owns Eclipse Jewellery and read that he owns the building where Lee Barnard had his fight. Some great memories on here, I used to go to the Shield & Dagger during the 60's and 70's, loved the girls.

Another indication to me that NC is here for the long term. Good luck to all that go, seems an exciting project.

I would let it go through the insurance now its gone this far, but ask them to let you know when the claim has been settled stating that you may wish to buy back the claim. We done this once at work, let the insurance company settle in case there was too much hassle then decided that it was cheaper to pay them back than losing our no claims and the possibility of a higher premium. The main problem with settling yourself is that if you failed to notify your insurance company and then he decides his injuries warrant compensation or he involves a no win no fee lawyer then your insurers could reject the claim due to you not notifying them at the time. I am not an expert, just things I have learned from work and talking to an excellent broker.

Taken from the Portsmouth Area Hampshire Chamber of Commerce. "An Audience with David Lampitt" " Join us for this exciting opportunity to hear from David Lampitt CEO at Portsmouth Football Club on his vision for the club and how he has managed the financial and operational challenges in moving the business forward. Come and hear more about the continued vision for the club, share in a Q & A and enjoy an excellent networking lunch. Tours of the ground and conference facilities will be available. There will be a business card draw offering a hospitality package for 2 in the Chimes Lounge at a match of your choice. A not to be missed event, book early to secure your place." The date is March 23rd £18 for members and £23 non-members. Be a laugh to infiltrate that if you could stomach going there.

Got to be automatic, I will be away on the play off final day, would be absolutely gutted to miss it firstly would want to be there when we won it and secondly, never been to Old Trafford. Gut feeling is we will be 1st or 2nd. COYR

So when he eventually goes will he just leave the building.

McQuoid admitted he moved for the money, 600% pay rise so probably they are not even earning £1k a week.

"Is Adkins living up to your expectations". No he isn't, a good manager can deal with difficult players like Puncheon, the easy option was to ship him out and now we're short of options. Last Saturday at 2 down he could have brought on one of the young subs, we had nothing to lose instead he waited until he had to take RL off injured and kept Alex on who was totally knackered and looked cramped up. Thought NA's tactics, team selection and motivation was poor. Luckily other results meant we didn't lose too much ground so hoping for better against Walsall. COYS

I just can't work out how they are still trading legally unless Chanrai is bankrolling them weekly. The sums don't add up, with Kitson, Lawrence, Utaka and Nugent's wages alone, coming from a meagre cashflow let alone paying their bills. I just hope HMRC are on Pompey's back like they do to small businesses and eventually Pompey will get their just desserts.

Ricky was due a bad season, couldn't be top goalscorer every year and also probably expected to get promoted and not wanting another season in the third division. Bet man U are asking the same about Rooney (although he's got reasons for his depression, how to spend his cash!!!!!)
-
Thought Utaka denied he was on £80k a week, think he said he was "only" on £36k
-
Who says there's no money anymore, NA hasn't had a chance to spend any yet, lets see what happens in January then we can gauge what money we may or may not have.

Who is Bruno?

Don't think Hammond featured much in any ratings but made the division team of the day.

Brijan Tours buses to and from SMS & Railway/docks
Pedro replied to supersonic's topic in The Saints
Was £2 for the Oldham game from the railway station, I was surprised they took my bus pass. -
Where did Delgado end up?

Always seem weird hearing our ex managers either being sacked or being wanted. Strachan, Jones, Pardew, Burley, Hoddle, Pearson, Redcrap etc.
-
Shame the club don't communicate with us supporters, obviously underestimate our interest. Surely anything to do with the first team at least should be "announced"

Vince Bartram I think, scanned the OS and it is hidden somewhere in the staff list.

Whoever is guilty, wonder what the sentences might be considering what the hooligans got from the pompey game. Hitting someone with a glass or bottle is one thing but if it was broken beforehand to hit the guy with then the sentence will be higher.
