  1. Glad we don't, seems its these squad getogethers that unsettle players when they return.
  2. Wonder how he would survive the fitness tests this week, he'll end up back at Southend on loan to get more bums on seats and try for promotion.
  3. Well done to him, great future ahead.
  4. Good to read, bet Cotterill has had a look and trying to learn from it, if he can make out what its all about. I reckon we are well in front of some our competitors. COYS
  5. Ho is probably right though about the land being leasehold and not freehold, although I am not 100% certain.
  6. Can see 2 or 3 changes, De Ridder to start, maybe Harding and Hammond back and Holmes on the bench. We've been sussed and need to have other options. Great start though, just seem a bit stale at the moment. COYS
  7. Glad Earnshaw injured for tomorrow, am sure he normally gives us a hard time.
  8. Paul Merson, ex saints??? I haven't heard of a lot of the people associated with them. Good charity work but not 100% ex saints.
  9. Didn't know Stuart Gray is SC's right hand man, completely missed that appointment. How's the natives taken to him considering his links with us?
  10. My wish is that MLT and NC could get together for the good of our club and not give the media all the crap they crave. I would rather have Cortese than Ridsdale, Bates or some of poopeys recent lot. Stellings outburst wasn't necessary, cosying up to his panel mates, especially Merson.
  11. Does that mean we are NPC Champions then?
  12. Cloterill on Solent this morning at 7-50hrs commenting on the owners press conference. Says he agrees about academy and named three youngsters coming through, didn't sound very convincing or upbeat.
  13. The real world, what we see every day.
  14. Apart from winning it, the match was only worth a tenner. The main thing I witnessed is that our squad players aren't good enough to press the first team, time to let some go in January. Shows how far NA has come, last night's attendance would have been a regular size at his old club, even with so few there (compared to normal) still long queues for food and drink, pathetic.
  15. Just seen the goals again on Sky, real class. Great result, tough to select a MOM, all had a good game.
  16. Nasty City
  17. I thought the promised payments of £2500 meant that they didn't have a vote and therefore HMRC were outvoted on the CVA, from memory Chanrai was worried these small creditors may have voted against the CVA due to the small amount so in effect, bought them off.

    New York?

Favourite place, soak up all the atmosphere of Times Square, Broadway and Central Park. Maceys is amazing and then go up the Empire State Building, visit Ground Zero, eerie but a must and meals are so big you could share. Enjoy, fantastic experience.
  19. The Blackburn lot deserve all that's coming to them (hopefully) not a particular fan of Big Sam but he was treated disgracefully and is a good manager.
  20. A load of liberal twaddle, had someone been seriously injured or killed in the fracas the police would be back tracking and covering their arses pronto. I'm a law abiding mid 60's guy but having had dealings with the police complaints commission in the past I simply dislike them with a vengeance and witnessed first hand how they all cover for each other. At the Pompey game they didn't police the trouble, they let it occur, filmed it and then picked people off.
  21. Mitchell came across as a yob and I'm just glad we got proper businessmen running our club. The story from a local down there is that they call him Edward the 7th, something to do with the amount of times his companies have gone to the wall owing loads of local businesses and subbies money, all a rumour of course. Also, on Solent news this morning they wouldn't read out a tweet from a Burnley player as it being too sensitive, Mitchell made all sorts of disparaging remarks about some departed players. If managers lose the dressing room then this Chairman has certainly gone a long way to losing the fans.
  22. Mitchell was a total knob tonight on the Solent forum, swearing and telling fans to go and support Saints and to mail in questions on the finances because he is a builder not into accounts. He couldn't answer questions to a couple of eloquent guys. Also, just announced that Lovell has retired due to ongoing injuries so an even smaller squad.
  23. I thought it was a mistake, looked a far bigger crowd but I suppose Milwall brought about 1500 less than Leeds so must be about right.
  24. Or the overtime.
  25. Karren Brady said yesterday that they still have to sell 3 premiership England players for financial reasons, so by the end of the month West Ham squad will be weaker.
