  1. Makes sense but after a day on the sauce, nothing beats entering the ground with blind, drunk optimism and wacking a tenner on Saints to win 5-1 and Kelvin Davis to score the first.
  2. Gosling has great potential. I think his versatility could be an asset as he can play at right back, centre mid and right mid. True, probably not a priority in terms of the positions he plays but surely worth a look if a player of his calibre is available?
  3. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2045322/Doncaster-ready-pounce-Dan-Gosling-Newcastle-release-midfielder-loan.html Could be a great signing. Was very promising in his early days at Plymouth and Everton. Showed a lack of class in leaving Everton for Newcastle in the circumstances he did and has had an injury nightmare but he's an excellent player, member of the England Under 21 set up and capable of playing in a number of positions. Could be a good 6 month signing in my opinion. DYTHCDAJFU?
  4. Don't know why I typed that. Obviously meant fake tan!
  5. Have met her before and its actually quite a sound girl. Gets involved with the banter and gives as good as she gets. As someone else said, she seems to put her all in to whatever she decides to do and that should be commended. That said, for someone with a background in glamour modelling, I'd expect her to be able to apply fax tan a bit more effectively than she appears to in this pic.
  6. Touchy.
  7. Not really a huge fan of half time entertainment but did anyone reading this thread see the entertainment at Leicester away? They had a relay race of 6 saints kids and 6 Leicester kids running around the perimeter of the pitch. It was actually very funny and the first time I have seen the whole crowd properly get into the entertainment.
  8. I beg your pardon...
  9. It's been proven that making something illegal doesn't stop people doing it. If anything it simply encourages people selling it to cut it with cheaper, potentially more harmful substances to increase their profit margins. Not that I'm massively in to the whole "scene" any more but I'd have much rather bought a clean pill and spent £20 on it then take a gamble from some matey in a club for a fiver. Same with charlie, I'd have rather paid £80 for a gram of top, u**** stuff then gamble on paying £40 for some thing you didn't know what was it in. If the government legalised it and regulated the quality, they could get away with charging a lot more than what you can get it for from some bloke on the street.
  10. Fill Merse with a few g's of charlie and let him loose.
  11. Pretty sure it was Huddersfield we fended off and not Sheff Weds...
  12. All valid points and from a health perspective legalised drugs would not be cut with other chemicals far more damaging that the actual narcotics themselves. A few months ago I was round a mates house and he was banging on about this legal high he had bought called AMT which I had no interest in trying. Eventually I succumbed, just to shut him up and had a tiny amount in a bomb thinking it would take effect for a few minutes, wear off and then I could tell him it was sh!t and we could move on with the night. I was tripping and absolutely spannered for over 24 hours just from this tiny amount. Believe me when I say I'm not exactly a light weight. The fact that this stuff would not wear off for such a long time and is legal, yet mushrooms give you a funnier, quicker buzz and are illegal was a massive wake up call.
  13. you little beautiful... lets have some champagne football now and get that goal difference up!!
  14. If we can keep winning 3 out of every 4 home games and get 4 points from every 3 away games, we'll be alright.
  15. My Dad used to take my to Mayflower Park. Fishing ragworm used to work a treat and we'd bag up. Not sure if you can still fish here as it was a few years ago but was always a good venue.
  16. Exactly what is wrong with the game in this country. Picking players with pace over technical ability. I shudder to think how the likes of Xavi or Iniesta would have faired if they came through the same academy as Jermaine Pennant and Shaun Wright-Phillips. The fact that an England team was never built around Paul Scholes is my case in point. Our best player in decades and he's shunted out to the left wing.
  17. Is Chris Jericho performing???!
  18. If Beattie doesn't love the club, he sure as $hite loves the area. He brought the entire Everton squad to Southampton for their christmas night out FFS. His wife is from here and he no doubt has happy memories of spending his best days here too. I seem to remember he did have a problem scoring against us for Everton as well. His natural instinct after scoring was to celebrate and then it appeared he remembered who he was playing against and the celebrations from him abated. If living in this area with his family makes him happier in his private life, maybe that will be reflected in his performances and commitment on the pitch. Even Strachan has gone on record to say that to get the best out of Beatts, you need to get him fit and engaged. Perhaps Adkins is the man to do this?
  19. Can't argue with it. He is like a hard working Adel Taarabt. Perhaps doesn't quite possess Taarabt's long range passing ability but his close control, energy and dribbling skills are more than a match.
  20. I think you need to get to the training ground next time your back. I can assure you the players these days aren't exactly rocking up for work on scooters and clapped out Ford Fiestas. As someone else mentioned, aside from a few people witnessing his behaviour out of the town (myself included), has there really been any other mention of a disruptive attitude? Word is he got involved with getting Paul Sturrock the sack but was he wrong in doing this? If you think he was, it didn't exactly hold Jason Dodd back did it? He is still involved with the club. Sammysaint reckons BT has deffo been training with us and this makes sense. Adkins would be mad to at least not have a look.
  21. I'd say Beats is probably more similar to Gary Hooper who has such success with Adkins at Scunny.
  22. To the tune of "Whole world in their hands".. They've got ten thousand empty seats They've got ten thousand empty seats They've got ten thousand empty seats Pompey is a massive club - are they f*ck They've got 5 pound for adults and the kids go free They've got 5 pound for adults and the kids go free They've got 5 pound for adults and the kids go free Pompey is a massive club - are they f*ck They've got Fred Dineage, celebrity fan They've got Fred Dineage, celebrity fan They've got Fred Dineage, celebrity fan Pompey is a massive club - are they f*ck
  23. We're sh!t out of luck if Baird, Walcott or Bale become available then!!!
  24. Imagine the tax income from legalising drugs as well. Very surprised they haven't even considered this.
