I think his future hangs on how vocally against him are the players who would likely stay next year? He’s obviously got a lot to like as a coach. Let’s see what happens next. Sacking him would likely lead to someone like Scott Parker which to my mind is similar to RM. Will get you up but builds a team that will get smashed in the PL.

He's fighting for his own career as well so I can understand he needs to get out of this in a more positive light than if he admitted he's gone along with it all but hardly sounds like he was coerced too harshly. Would it make sense to try and bridge the gap with our players to offer anyone who stays for next season their promotion bonus, which I read is circa 100k. Perhaps a % increase on wages and a bigger raise if we do go up? Think the players will walk for whatever other offers they get if we don't make a concerted effort to keep them! Gutted about Peretz most likely not staying. Got to love a keeper who is both decent and a bit mad!

Don Goodman is painful to listen to. He clearly seems to have an issue with Southampton all season when he’s commentated on us. I'd go as far as to say Will Still has probably cost us a shot at actually winning the league and we all know that we don't often have chances to do that. So BOO Will Still!

He’s obviously decent for a team of our level but I certainly felt he received less “feedback” on his mistakes simply because he wasn’t AM or GB last year. Made some great saves but also had some howlers such as Forest away. Can’t say I’m surprised he isn’t Newcastles cup of tea as they love Pope up there. Can’t see how the loans benefited his WC chances, perhaps he will get lucky due to Trafford being messed about by City.

As I said his general lack of effort. I’m not expecting him to run around full pelt at every opportunity but there were times in Tuesday when the press had gone forward and he made minimal effort to enforce it for the team. Its absolutely fine to call players out for lack of effort right?

What bothered me the most last night was his general lack of effort when closing down. He continually made “half” an effort, never really exerting himself, never quite getting to his man quick enough to pressure him whilst making an effort to seem like he wasn’t a traffic cone. Pathetic effort. Needs to get a bit of niggle into his game.

Fed up with this now. We've been decent in less than 10 games in the last 4 seasons. Fed up of hearing about all the "great lads" in the team who are not good enough whilst better players languish on the bench. Fed up of tactics from CM 2001 - pass out to a winger and get crosses in the box without having a striker who can header the ball in the box! Fed up with XG, Tactical master classes on Sky. Fed up with Sports Republic and clever bollocks signings who "could be the next big pay day". When will this purgatory end?!!!

Sadly reckon this deal is deader than a dead thing. Krasnador seem to have no interest in selling to us and I suspect assume they will be able to convince him to sign a new contract if they can hold on to him before the end of the month. Read an account last night which suggested the Russians won’t want to sell to a “lesser” / not top division side as it makes losing their best player look worse to their fans. Sounds as though they will likely not sell to us regardless of our offer and the player will not push the transfer out of loyalty to the side. If so what a complete mess surely we find this sort of info out before spending so much time on one player. As others have suggested a deadline seems like the best solution.
