  1. Anybody found one? Any links that are working?
  2. How come then he assisted Ronaldo with one of his goals the other night?
  3. You might well think that but I'll be rather more chuffed if we win well against Burnley and have 12 pts and are up to 8th on Sunday evening. Winning in the San Siro under the present circumstances means nothing. Hollow victory.
  4. I was looking out for some reviews on here so thank you for this. Your comments should be taken in the spirit in which they are meant as constructive feedback to the authors and as such properly taken on board can only improve the product. I have no idea what the vision of the author is for this fanzine but it will be a challenge to come up with controversial or interesting new stuff with so much club information tightly controlled by the club and selectively drip fed to us through the OS. They'll need a couple of good spies with access beyond the screens to really make this work for most fans. The fans views are adequately served by several fan websites and no doubt the club is plugged into those already. Holbury Saint, you had expectations - what did you expect? The problem for most of us is that we think it sounds like a good idea but if pressed on what we might expect from the publication might not be able to come up with very much; not sure where the gaps are?
  5. Wonder if he's match fit, we might need a good right back over the next few weeks.
  6. I am dreading the January transfer window, Fonte, VVD, Romeu & Tadic all receiving critical acclaim in the press. Far too good for a small provincial club where everyone chews straw and wear baggy trousers with frayed hems and holes in the knees
  7. Anybody reading anything into his sudden prominence on the OS? What news is coming next?
  8. You cannot be right otherwise Fraser would have been in goal. No, Southgate watched Ryan at Leicester last week in commanding form and made him first pick on merit. Ryan is not fully match fit from his early season injury yet and the lush Wembley turf found him out.
  9. Wishful thinking sadly, it looked nasty and is probably the last we'll see of him for a few weeks. The way he pulled up was not good and the look on his face told you all you needed to know. Bugger me that's four full backs crocked and the season's only just getting under way. So we are down to any two from Martina and McQueen! Imagine them playing three games a week with two long trips away as well. ... and what a bore-fest that was. At least England make Saints look impressive.
  10. You are not allowed to make things up on here so who told you that? Redmond was on our radar for ages but Norwich wouldn't let him go or wanted more I know not which but we were sniffing around him long before Juanmi had become an issue for fans let alone the club.
  11. You cynical old fool! Truth is we're getting nothing at all from the club OS about progress on recovery from injuries, players get injured a curtain comes down and that's that. Not exactly transparent as per the mission statement of Herr Kreugar. There is absolutely no need for secrecy as other teams probably don't give a toss who they are playing against, the modern view in this age of Squads and Rotation is it's XI v XI and only the performance of the 'collective' matters. Obviously there is also a gagging order on players as otherwise they'd keep us posted on their twitter feeds. In fact I'll ask them in a minute and see if our enquiry is ignored.
  12. ... and whilst this debate spirals ever downwards, we are not even out of Europe until at least 2019 so Brexit hasn't even started and the full impact of Brexit cannot possibly be known for at least another 5 or 6 years. Right now the short-term impacts look pretty grim to me with the Euro at 1.13 and dollar at 1.27
  13. It was totally misleading as it did not acknowledge that a large proportion of that money came back to the UK in the form of grants and subsidies so on that basis alone it was a Lie. The net flow of cash out was very much lower and that was the price of being a member of the club. As far as I know you do not get free membership of a golf club for very obvious reasons. Typically those who voted 'out' want everything for nothing, little englanders used to a nanny welfare state where you don't have to work if you can't be Rrsed.
  14. Has the You Tube channel been abandoned since the launch of the new OS website? They didn't show the U23's the other night anywhere either and now they seem to be ignoring tonight's game. They won't let us into Staplewood to watch the U23's - the official excuse given is that HSE won't allow it because of "building works going on" - but I didn't see any of the club's people with tin hats on. So if they are no longer going to show the junior matches, how are we suppose to get excited about these kids.
  15. ...and all the King's horses and all the King's men couldn't put Humpty together again. There is also a rumour on Twitter this morning that Ryan's tattoos have started to smudge and may need urgent remedial work that could prevent him travelling as well......
  16. You are kidding, right? Do you seriously think Premier League defenders will just stand there like statues and admire his skills as he jinks his way through? Yeah, right! Sadly, you are building up expectations that cannot be realised.
  17. Context dear boy, context!
  18. Very much a reality check, the players who played in Israel were clearly jaded mentally and not that great physically and this impacted the whole team. As Puel says, we play as a collective but if half the cylinders aren't firing properly than the whole team performance becomes disjointed and the rested players cannot realise their full effectiveness. We were lucky today because Leicester were in exactly the same boat after their mid-week exertions and so everyone seemed happy enough to settle for a 0-0 draw. This is the price of Europe I suppose but we'll get used to it sas time goes on. They'll be glad of the two week break. Let's give a massive shout for Oriol Romeu who was simply outstanding all afternoon and made VvD look a bit of a chump in comparison. Cedric's injury is a real bummer and if we lose him for a few weeks and have to rely on Martina our season could be ******.
  19. Of course Harry will be in this story somewhere, where would the press be without him? Any quote from Harry gains headlines so when planning this 'sting' the DT will have made a list of people whose names would guarantee a few hundred papers will be sold and no prizes for guessing who would top the list... "What's he been up to this time?", "Thought old 'Arry would be involved somewhere..." If the DT know anything which in itself is very doubtful it will be their audience for such trash. Let's face it love him or loathe him Harry is always good for a quote and without the arrogance, swagger and self conceit of people like Pearson and Allardyce.
  20. Having, courtesy of SFC now watched the game on-line, it is difficult to understand the misguided comments on here of people who were quick to rubbish Martina and Clasie. They were OK, no worse than many others on the night in fact in the case of Clasie, I thought he played rather well making few mistakes and making quite a few very telling through passes. Even Yoshida, most people's favourite whipping boy had a good match. Let's face it every player had a moment or two and even fan favourite Virgil van Dyke squandered our best scoring chance. Poor Hesketh but this is what happens when one performance of a raw kid is so massively over-hyped on here and elsewhere. Poor lad was defeated by the hysterical level of expectation heaped on his very young shoulders. A point was not good enough against this opposition and if Inter decide to make a game of it next time instead of dismissing the competition as being beneath their dignity we may come to regret our sloppy over-casual approach to goal scoring on display on Thursday evening.
  21. One of the potentially most damaging outcomes of this whole wretched business will be the psychological impact on people who work with or around wrongly accused individuals. Smoke without fire, were they really totally innocent or just not proven guilty? Once mud is thrown some of it will stick; one of the calls that the club will need to make is whether that sort of collateral damage can be absorbed without impacting on team camaraderie and performance and of course the feelings of fans. Breakdown in trust and respect between players and coaching staff will inevitably destroy confidence and performance. At best there will be lingering doubts in many minds, why did the accused attend meetings in the first place? It may be that even being linked with such a scandal is sufficient reason to cast irredemable doubts in the minds of those who must pass judgement. This is a nettle that must be grasped and a clear and transparent decision made. No fudging and no meek whitewash of events will convince the many sceptics.
  22. I think you are right, the guy has been around the Champions League and Europa League for years and knows exactly how to play it. Win at home, draw away leaves us with 12 points and into the knock-out stages.
  23. Black works for Les Reed not Ralph Kreugar, it's up to Les now but he's in Israel at the moment.
  24. Dave Watson is already here and rarin' to go.
  25. Presumably they all went up by coach so the others must have been around somewhere as it is unlikely the coach would have left for home without them. Puel obviously felt they needed some free fun time to celebrate their success and relieve some of the tension. Why is it implied by the Wail that they were up to no good when there is zero evidence of the players having been on the booze. I'll bet the rag was miffed that none of our players had a blond floozie draped over them in state of undress. This is the London press stirring the ***** at it's best, they just don't like it when one of their precious clubs gets turned over and hung out to dry especially by those irritating imposters from the South coast so what better than to kick start the destabilisation process of a club who look likely candidates to grab honours away from their sacred four clubs.
