Wonder why the OP doesn't scoop the pools jackpot every week? How many scores has he predicted so far?
-
2 x Paracetomol every 4 hours might help. Symptoms should subside within a week or two....

Indeed he is and Shawcross is no better. Stoke are an embarrassment, particularly Adams and his boss Hughes both of whom seem to think match-long moaning at the ref is a good substitute for playing football. I hate everything about Stoke City and feel especially sorry for their fans who have had to put up with this culture of anti-football for years. Who in their team would even make the bench of a good PL side?
-
Morgan Schneiderin will never be massively over-rated, he is a world class player and will develop even more in a better team, which in his case is likely to be Barcelona. Don't be too sure he will leave in the summer, he is part of a very good squad with seemingly a very cohesive dressing room; if we do really well this season why would he want out if everyone else stays? Who wants to be Johnny Nomates like Shaw?

Harmless remark which anybody would make in deference to a boss (sic Les Reed) who has the ultimate say in who is bought or sold. Ron didn't say we don't have the money he was saying if we have the money to buy Bertrand at this stage who is on loan to the end of the season. If we have other targets for January the priority will be to spend presently available transfer funds on new players then whilst the Btrtrand situation can be resolved in the summer.

Well, I for one am really fearful of Adams diving all over the place in the final third when the refs back is turned and he's far from being the worst offender. You KNOW they will dive and for sure they'll get at least one penalty with Hughes doing his windmill act and harassing the ref and 4th official and moaning like b*gger* to SZky afterwards. I guess Ron does as well but too polite to say as much publicly.

Sure but doesn't fence sitting become uncomfortable after a while?

Ronald Koeman is a man worth listening too, a breath of fresh air in the dank, dark corridors of the Premier League. Long may he tell it as he sees it without rancour or negativity. "To be honest I am still a little bit on shock... 8-0 is not a normal premier league score" Truly refreshing. Wenger, Mourinho, van Gaal, and all you other moaners please take note and follow our leader!

Well done to you all and yes we have been watching you on the Saints OS in the dressing room in "Match Day Uncoverered". Hope you had a really great day. True fans of football for sure so please coma again and tell everyone in Holland "Saints are here to stay". Maybe , we will come to Rotterdam soon to watch Feyenord

Of course, it is good people management to praise the good things in public and deal with the less good in private on the training ground mana-a-mana. No doubt wee Sammy has a knack with these things if his enthusiasm on the bench is anything to go by.

Can't agree with you as two of last weekend's starting XI were forced on the manager by the late return of players. Wanyama & Mane are surely first choice over Cork / Long and five goals came after the changes don't forget. Those who claim Schneiderlin didn't play well are talking rubbish. Once he was the standout player now all around him are good but he still controls midfield magisterially with foresight in positioning for receiving passes and faultless distribution. Cork(y) needs to up his game quite a bit, he was slow off the mark in the first half and too often caught out of position or being unsure of where he should be to give cover to Clyne(y).

Saints 8 (Eight) Sunderland 0 - Match and Reactions
Charlie Wayman replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
Wake me up in the morning, I want this dream to last forever. You need to ram home the point Ron that we can't afford to miss all those chances at this level. No easy games. -
I watched the USA v Japan Women's Olympic Final at Wembley and the skill levels were very good indeed, especially Japan who moved the ball around and ran off the ball as well as many PL teams but of course pace and strength were not their greatest assets. USA preferred long balls forward and in the end they won because the Japanese were caught too many times too far forward to recover their positions in time... plus they has bloody good goalkeeper who was er.... 'Woman' of the Match. To answer the OP, don't ask 'why?' do something about it, there's a load of women up at SMS these days and more than a few I'll wager can kick a ball around for 90 minutes. Just needs people to get it moving and not necessarily women.

Steven Davis signs contact extension until 2018
Charlie Wayman replied to Mikey88's topic in The Saints
Very well deserved, maybe time Steven to smile a bit more? You'll do us all a favour by making sure all the other players sign up for life as well. Not sure about the impact on Jack 'though, he looked very distracted at training.... must wonder if the call will ever come club or country. 10 mins here and there as a sub is no solace for a great footballer. I'll back Ron's judgement over mine any day but this affair mystifies me. -
Saints duo win awards - Koeman MOTM - Pellè POTM
Charlie Wayman replied to angelman's topic in The Saints
Of course, things happen in a good way at Southampton. Maybe we can break the mold this weekend and give Poyet's mob a damn good thrashing! -
No Judas, Just Poyet - Sunderland Build Up
Charlie Wayman replied to Lighthouse's topic in The Saints
Sunderland & Stoke and the prospect of rain sodden afternoons for both... and this is supposed to be fun? Cheer up it could be worse? It will be if they're both goal-less draws. -
This of course another one of this infamous BBC non-stories that they love to use to liven up their otherwise boring front pages, one guaranteed to up the ante and getting the masses charged up. There is absolutely sod all the government can or will do about it, in reality it is nothing to do with them. The (private company) PL will keep screwing (private consumers) fans until they cry stop, simples! Everyone will huff and puff for a few days as they do; take their eyes off whatever ball the BBC wanted us to take our eyes off - probably Yentob's outrageous salary and fees - and then back to normal when most will have long forgotten. That's how it works.
-
I agree with you, completely unjustified sarcasm for that guy whoever he is. I guess it'll be business as usual for the next two games. Boring defensive football from the visitors and our inability to break them down and make anything of it. We could draw / lose both if we're not careful. As a spectacle let's hope there are one or two low flying jets landing at Eastleigh to liven things up a bit.

Hodgson's England are an embarrassing pantomime, no method, no skill, no ideas and Chambers over Clyne defies belief. Wilshire and Henderson belong in the lower leagues yet this is our spine? You've got to be Effing kidding. It seems this IS the best Hodgson can do and his limitations are there for all to see and what he serves up is truly b.loody abysmal. It is way, way past the time when he and his cohorts should have been thanked for their services and shown the door.... and don't mention that loud-mouthed clown who sits next to him? Give me strength! For goodness sake Dyke surely you can find somebody better than this. Nigel Adkins would be a district improvement if you insist on having an Englishman in charge.

Some of my photos of the building of St. Marys Staduim.
Charlie Wayman replied to Norm's topic in The Saints
Thanks 'Norm' for that, this is the sort of stuff saints web should really be doing rather than hosting all the town's mindless moaning minnies. -
This is a MUST SEE and MUST LISTEN! Are we being too helpful to other clubs? It seems Les has not kept many secrets about our modus operandii so what's to stop them encroaching on our territory for example? Not that that is a criticism - maybe he thinks with 5 or 6 years of a Philosophy behind us the others would have to be pretty determined to catch up anyway. Grabbing our coaches and Les himself is probably how they would try to short circuit the process so we need to hold on to these key people at all costs, our success will be more assured by paying these organisational people what they are worth and worrying less about player comings and goings. I sincerely believe in the methods that Les outlined and if he is only 90% right, what's to stop us just getting better and better?

Surely you have something other than football fantasy on your mind? How long did this take you? Bet you could have built a shed in half the time ;-)

It's a hypothesis not a theory but still cra.p whichever way you describe it. Of course he will play.

Does anybody know if this is on Sky this afternoon or do we have to rely on dodgy streams again?
