  1. Not even NC and ML bothered to turn up for this one! What do they know that we don't? It looks like your on tour own Pards until the end of this campaign. The bollocking that you gave the lads at half-time would have paled into insignificance after the bollicking you will get from the great leaders after this abysmal excuse for football. Hey! We need to be entertained for our money, results aren't everything especially now there leading nowhere. I'll send you a link to a P45 so you can print your own before your meeting.
  2. Yeah! Where are the 12" high hand painted by Johnstone's made in China figurines of Rici Lamberto and the special offers on decoraters brushes and red & white striped emulsion? We deserve the best!
  3. Lol... Exactly! Typical of the extra 28000 "Saints" "fans" who turned up at Wemberley last Sunday.
  4. Lowe's & Wilde were my reasons for skipping the best part of a whole season before. This year I've missed a few since the turn of the year once it became obvious that we would not get near the play-offs and we had nothing to play for. Not sure about tomorrow after yet another dismal performance at Brighton and (I'm still raging over) the crap tickets I was given for Wembley. Even 'though I love Saints I'm not sure about this particular set of Saints, who don't float my boat enough to ensure I'll never miss a game. There just isn't enough home town passion about them as there was in the past; I miss a Channon, Le Tiss, Paine type of hero - they are the people who got me there every week rain or shine.
  5. ...and on the evidence of last night that manager might be Gus Poyet who out-thought Pards every step of the way.
  6. Charlie, I agree with you absolutely. All the subsequent hoo-hah and shoeshine from Pards has been window-dressing to try to hoodwink the Swiss top brass that they have invetsed in a silk purse. I've given up for this season so don't bother to tune in to away matches or slavishly trek to SMS every other week any more. They've got my money anyway so whether I'm there in body or spirit doesn't really matter. What really scares me is that as things stand we look more and more like an average mid-table side of little ambition and limited ability. I want to believe it will be a cake-walk next season but we all know it won't, too many teams have cracked us when we don't have the advantage of home crowd support and familiar surroundings. Pards say he will "build a team fit for the Premiership" in the close season... How exactly? He needs players all over the park for that so where's the money coming from? Only two or three from this squad are anywhere near good enough. I'm more inclined to the view that if Saints really need another ground-up rebuilding exercise, then Corteses might as well start with a different manager and give him the money rather than risk it on Pardew buying another load of misfiring journeymen.
  7. I'm really glad that our "individually selected world beaters" have been fully embedded with "a winning mentality" - good for you, Pards! Certainly beats struggling for points in every away game.... Why the feckles didn't you just play last Sunday's team in a straightforward simple 4-4-2, you berk? This one's 500% down to you; if you get your P45 on Tuesday morning don't ask "Why Me?"
  8. You're being effing paranoiac, Alan Pardew has been there so many times before as a winner (only 4 years ago) and a loser (only three years ago) in much bigger competitions so he wasn't in awe of the place. His demeanor of acting calmly and normally was calculated to settle down his players quickly. This attitude of "just another game" attitude which was pitched just right and exactly what was needed. It worked a treat which is why we played our normal dull up-and-under game and yet scored for fun every time we felt like it. Be honest pal, how many teams ever score 4 at Wembley and it's probably because the manager is over-hyped and it all transmits to the palyers? Inside no doubt he was shooting bricks in case we lost and he had to expalin that away to the bosses. As for distancing himself from the palyers during the celebrations you are into looney tunes. His creed was obviously, "these are (my) young lads, they may never play here again, it;s their success and their day. He was full of pride as anybody could see but let them have the limelight, which is why they all love him ad why he is one effing heck of a good manager - the sort of bloke you lay down your life for! Get off his case, get off his back, there is no intrigue, no hidden agenda's. Just enjoy what he's doing for us right now and thank the Lord we don't have some non-entity red-nosed weirdo accented clown instead.
  9. If the penny hasn't drooped pal, it will soon. If you don't know anybody in the ticket office forget it! It's mates only. Just like at Wembley where all the best seats went to their pals and most of us top-price paying regular STHs got given crap.
  10. According to this thread it seems the only qualifications needed to be "Saints Fan" at Wembley was to be a permanent p*sshead and an inconsiderate pea-brained Rrsole to boot... It would be nice to learn that a few went up there for more than the booze.
  11. Somebody had to pour water on that small fire before it became a conflagration and engulfed us. That's two BIG fingers up to Samuels then! Bet the shot-stirring sid doesn't mention that in tomorrow's Wail. Nice one Alan!
  12. Martin Samuel has only recently joined the Daily Wail and has struggled to prove he is worth the money they obviously had to pay to get him from The Thunderer. In general, he comes across as being a malcontent who always takes the opposite view to the norm. This article is deliberate sh*t stirring to de-stabilise the club before it's success becomes unstoppable wrapped up in a way that at first sight appears to be on the side of the supporters but it isn't and don't be fooled. Why else would Saints even get a mention in the Wail when they were in the premiership didn't even figure strong enough get more than a couple of lines, usually derogatory at that. Samuel is a loose cannon best ignored. Forget it!
  13. My seats are in the dug-out alongside the subs - almost - so my lads will get their chance if things don't go to plan. I can't abide pitch level viewing which is why they're going and I'm not - to coin a phrase.
  14. So Millwall beat Leeds 2-0 tonight, oh shioot soon there will be nobody left for us to catch. That slender thread of remaining hope is rapidly becoming the hangman's noose and guess who'd neck is being measured for size?
  15. You're missing the point completely! We came down with Norwich and Charlton and barring unforeseen hiccoughs on the way they are gong back up again and we are not. We've spent £3million or more on players, they have not. Even without the points deduction we have 60, Norwich have 79 and Charlton have 67 so they are doing way better than us on no money and without the hoo-hah and razzmatazz. We are NOT in the play-offs even without the pints deduction. They've lost 6 each we've lost 8 We've won 16, Charlton have won 18 and Norwich have won 24 Just something to bear in mind next year when we will be the ONLY "BIG" TEAM in the Rs**hole called the 3rd Division. Still think it's unfair to criticise the manager?
  16. Mine came this morning and guess what, I've been well and truly shafted with f****** awful seats even 'though I am a prime ST holder in the Itchen and applied early on Day One. I guess if you don't anybody in the ticket office you've got no chance of a decent seat. Anyway stuff that, I'm sick of being insulted by this club so I've already handed my tickets over to my lads to do what they like with but for sure this muggins won't be going.
  17. Keeping me as a ST for another season will be an even bigger one! Today's result? Who gives a toss?
  18. Antonio must stay. Waigo is absolute garbage, I'd like to see Perry stay and Thomas will be on his way. Just my opinion though...
  19. I've just read the crap spilled out by Dean Wilkins on the OS today... What the **** is the Loonie on? We really are deep in the brown stuff when idiots like him come up with **** like that expect to be taken seriously by us. These must be desperate times indeed down in the office block at Staplewood. Nothing to do except put out good PR in case the BIG Boss hadn't notice we are playing crap. If Wilkins is becoming paranoid and certifiable, Pardew can't be far off... If your phones are dead when you pick 'em up in the morning lads you'll know your time is up. Don't call us we'll call you.
  20. It wasn't very pretty to watch was it? There's no magic solution, we rely too much now on tireless running and pace and little else so we come unstuck with well organised defences and lack the skill and invention to outwit them. The wingers were particularly useless tonight rarely beating their men to the by-line and their crosses were laughable. Small crowd didn't help, Cortese looked miserable as he suddenly realised what sort of fan base he has inherited, 44000 pseudo fans demand for the flashy stuff on the North Circular but only the loyal core of 15000-odd show up when it really matters. Let's face it people are going to drift away in droves now so for the rest of this season SMS will resemble a morgue on a less busy day. What puts the ***** up me is if the penny drops upstairs quickly and we find ourselves up for sale again. This team is no way guaranteed promotion next season on tonight's showing; there have been rather too many performances like it since the turn of the year so we must wonder which is the real Saints, last night's or the one that turned out against Huddersfield.
  21. Not a fuggery sniff again today and couldn't get any lazy Rrses to answer their fugging 'phone so's I couldn't ask. A gloomy feeling is spreading over these parts, it really seems possible the TO could have screwed up and missed me out, no sign of a payment from my account either? Hell, I'm a ST holder and applied on day 1. Anybody else in this boat?
  22. What you mean is 'You' weren't there! Call yourself a Saints fan? Where were you? What's that? You weren't born - oops!
  23. This is all complete ******** of course, it will never happen. Already Cortese is showing the early signs of delusions of grandeur brought about by extreme stress and modest attainment. We all think Pardew is under the cosh of Cortese but it looks more likely that Cortese is under Liebherr's cosh. Look guys you can't just move Saints up to London and build a s****y new stadium at Hampstead if that's where you'd prefer it to be. This is tiny little tin-pot, backwoods town Southampton and Saints is our tiny little tin-pot backwoods team. Long may it last. There just ain't 60,000 folks down here who give a toss about footie.
  24. Not a bloody smell of a ticket so far and from reading what you guys are saying I can sense this ain't gonna go smoothly at all. If I get crap seats I'll go effing mental as my request was in at crack of dawn on day 1 for ST holders.
  25. What a daft thread. Loony Tunes Comes to town. Even if we win all 12 games we would reach 83 points which has not been enough to get into the top 6 when there are a few good teams and a lot of poor ones as this year. Stop tormenting yourselves with all these what-ifs and start worrying about what happens xnext year if we dn;t make it.
