  1. Watched Bart B playing at Crawley today and he had a good game too despite being on the losing side
  2. Sh1te that's a lot of commuting for AP then
  3. Doesn't a win against Burnley keep us in the hunt for Europe?!
  4. You should try Redhill
  5. Highly fit individuals have a lower tolerance to illness as weirdly their immune system is not as strong as a standardly fit person - exercising hard with a minor infection can cause it to become a major infection. Perhaps that's what the club was worried about?
  6. Oh do behave
  7. You'll get used to this if RB stays the course
  8. Just wait until the new manager bounce wears off
  9. From an insurance perspective because London is the world's major international insurance centre mainly as a result of Lloyds of London being based there - their tax domicile is another matter - suffice to say that insurance industry is a major employer in London and countrywide and also brings in a significant amount of foreign money into the UK economy
  10. Why would it want to - of you try to move the international insurance market out of London - you'll weaken it significantly in this country. The major insurers and brokers who are mainly foreign owned wouldn't want to move their global hubs to somewhere 2-300 miles from the square mile - they would move their hub to the next largest international insurance centre and GB would be the loser
  11. A probably the main international insurance market and a major tourist industry for starters
  12. I think you should take the home next time
  13. How dare you CTFC is an ambitious and progressive club - we're just ****e!
  14. Crawley News was banned from Crawley Town by Barker after their reporter upset him so they may have an agenda
  15. They weren't complaints they were the level headed critique of a CTFC fan on a thread started by a Poopey fan asking for information on was Barker any good
  16. From the Crawley Fans Forum: When he game to Crawley I thought we had made a good choice but by mid-season the cracks started to appear and of late they became a canyon. 1 Never shows any passion just stands in his area with his arms folded with a blank expression. 2 Is not to slow at telling anyone who will listen that he is the highest qualified coach at his age in the football league. 3 If the team lose it is never down to him as he has to put up with inferior players because that is all Crawley can afford. What did get to the fans was on the radio after the game he would say that the reason players are playing for Crawley and not higher was because they make mistakes. Does not help team moral. 4 Cannot stand any criticism from the fans as he thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread. Had one fan banned for just saying “Shake it up Barker”. He never seemed to want to have any rap pore with the fans as he gave the impression that he thought he was above there level. 5 At the final whistle he is straight down the tunnel never thanks the fans home or away. 6 Always plays just one up front home and away who ever we were playing and sets the team up to not loose and never gambles for a win will take a draw every time. 7 Never seems to have a plan B and only makes substitutions around the 80 minute mark. 8 Does seem to have favourites who get picked week in week out even if they are playing below par also his signings have not set the world alight and most have a Bury connection and no better than what we have already. 9 Most of his loan signings just warm the bench so waste of time coming on loan. 10 Likes to play pretty football which resulted in us doing a lot of nice neat passes around the half way line which teams let us do because we never hurt them while we were doing that. I cannot think of any more reasons at the moment why I am not sorry he has gone given more time I expect I could come up with some more. So good luck with him I think you are going to need it.
  17. QED! More importantly John Gregory - out of the frying pan.....Crawley v Poopey could, be a local derby again next year
  18. Cue massive influx of ex Bury players.......
  19. Yep - since about 2005 I reckon.........
  20. Whilst I can't really fault Gazza for the first - it was basically down to the guys in front of him - I can't help but think if it had been Boruc there we would have been saying another great block. Difficult to judge on last nights performance - Villa only had three shots on target and scored from each one but second goal was the only one where there was any signifcant degree of fault as far as I could see. He did better than Boruc against Arse when trying to beat an oppo player - thats all
  21. Silly boy - you'll catch you death of cold. Then you'll be sorry
  22. I think the reason for the mention of Bloody Sunday is that its largely seen as a turning point in the Troubles when the IRA started to gain real support from the Catholic community at large and true militarisation of the Troubles really started - the likes of Noraid became a recognised fundraiser internationally for the IRA (particularly in the US where there was a significant groundswell of support for the IRA). Also after Bloody Sunday any vestige of mass support for the troops from the Catholics was pretty much expunged - that's really sad because when we first sent in the troops they were seen as being there to protect the Catholic communities in the sink estates from Protestant attack. Its easy to look back in hindsight but Bloody Sunday really was the death knell for any peace in Northern Ireland for a very long time. I also remember the time when the Beeb would report IRA killings as murders but UDA killings as assassinations - its subtle but it just gives the scent of legitimacy to one but not the other. I guess that was the British Government at work though
  23. ....and I'm guessing you're pro British Army? Come on Viking spill the beans did the MRF they undertake shoot to kill patrols and if so what procedures were in place to ensure that they didn't kill innocent 'civilians' or is that just the collateral damage of war?
