I've gone out this time purely on the style of play our players are better than they are showing atm and we all know there's only one way that changes ! Yes I get we are still top half and in the semi but that matters none as far as I'm concerned (although i am still going to anfield clinging on to the hope I'll be seeing us get to a final) i just don't enjoy watching us anymore!

I know it's only Paul Merson but even so "Southampton look like they've gone. With Virgil van Dijk getting sent off against West Ham, I can't see them getting much at Goodison Park. They've been very negative and don't look like scoring goals; the manager seems to set them up to avoid defeat and they sit back too much, as we saw after they took the lead against Tottenham. You can't be like that in this league. I think Everton will win very, very easily and start 2017 as they should look to carry on for the rest of the year with a decent team."

Am I the only one who isn't massively bothered about league position at this stage ? It's the type of football and some of the performances that are killing me like someone else has said he's more worried about getting hit on the counter attack than he is our own attack !
