  1. Is there a gay buyback then? How does that work? Joking aside I'm not sure I catch your drift but I haven't really been paying attention to all of this thread. Seems pretty simple to me - in a bidding war clubs will outbid each other until we accept a bid. Once we've done that then yeah, no other club is going to go over that.
  2. If they're the only show in town then no, no one would bid more. If there's a bidding war then the buy back clause is largely irrelevant. Obviously that's assuming Lavia doesn't dig his heels in and decides there's only one club for him (which is probably what would happen).
  3. I'm going for tomorrow. Fixture list comes out and Russell Martin gets unveiled.
  4. I bumped into Russell Martin the other day. Twat should look where he's going.
  5. Thread killer.
  6. Couldn't care less where he goes as long as we get the most we possibly can for him. If Chelsea offered 50M last year for him then I wouldn't be looking for anything less than that. It's got to be one of the easiest sells we'll ever have - all the top six should be looking at him.
  7. Fair enough, they can fuck off now then.
  8. Cheers, not a massive fan of the Denmark style but not the worst it could be. Hope they get a few old favourites back in the retro range, always regretted not getting the rank xerox home and away amongst others.
  9. Agree with that. You could probably add Adams in as well. I know he's not great but he'll probably be a better than average striker in the Championship. Of them I'd say Alcaraz, Sulemana and Tella are the ones we have the most realistic chance of keeping. Alcaraz and Sulemana because they only arrived in January so they'd have known relegation was a realistic possibility. I don't see many clubs offering us our money back on Sulemana anyway and with Tella it really depends on whether Burnley will risk 20M. August isn't going to be much fun - suspect at least half of that lot will still be here and we'll be waiting on bids before we know whether or not we need to replace them.
  10. Apparently the Daily Mail gig is just the first of a few jobs he's lined up. Due to be a contestant on "The Great British Bake Off" and the new host of "Would I lie to you".
  11. Seems like Boris doesn't want his allies voting against the report findings on Monday: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-65930011 Theory behind this is that it would expose the lack of support he actually has which would heap more embarrassment on him.
  12. I can't say I'm that excited about Martin anyway. Open mind and all that but his appointment isn't exactly the stuff of dreams so the delay hasn't really bothered me. I guess if we're in the same place by the end of next week then it's starting to look like there's more to it than just an issue over compensation. Can't say i'm overly bothered about not getting Maresca either - he comes with as many doubts as Martin will do.
  13. You're a braver man than me making a joke like that.
  14. I don’t really understand your point. You think he’s wank but are annoyed that it gets pointed out more than other players? Would you feel better if all wank players got equal abuse? I think that’s what you’re trying to say. I’m not sure that would help Moi particularly but I suppose it would give him more mates in the “we’re wank, feel free to point it out” club.
  15. Fucks sake, have we not learned anything from last year? Relying on kids between 5 and 13 isn't going to get us promoted!
  16. Cheers. Suspect that might be more embarrassing for Boris than the report itself.
  17. Does anyone know if MPs will actually vote now that Boris has resigned? I'd be interested to see how much support he has left in the Tory party.
  18. Completely agree mate, apparently Boris didn't even eat the cake! It's mental. People talk about lying but they're all the same. Boris got the wrong type of Brexit done and that's good enough for me AND he didn't lie about it!
  19. I can't believe we've had a report and all this fuss over some cake. Madness.
  20. I'm definitely going to miss his work against the ball. I'll be honest, it wasn't something I'd really considered before but it was joy to watch him in his pomp when he glided over the pitch in the general direction of where the ball was and, in terms of being in the vicinity of the ball and yet not actually having an influence on the game, he's been unparalleled. TBF I'm not going to criticise his commitment or work rate. I'm sure he's a nice bloke that has tried his best but he should never have been a premier league player.
  21. Not really having a go so hopefully you don't take it that way but aren't you supposed to be in your 50's? If you've voted in 12 GEs then the youngest that makes you is 67. Also, if you've voted against the Tories more times than not then it begs the question who you have voted for - obviously UKIP in it's various incarnations will take up some of those but I reckon you're a closet Lib Dem for the others. It makes sense as the initials match up.
  22. It doesn't really matter if we're all fishing in the same pond, under blue skies and pulling in the right direction while contemplating the lack of an "i" in team (but there is a "me").
  23. I don’t know much about him either but was the players player of the season for 22-23. Seems like a steady all round midfielder rather than anything outstanding. There’s a bloke on YouTube who rates him as his favourite player.
  24. We should be aiming higher IMO. Rodri is 26 now so resale value won't be that high and I'm not sure what he's like on freekicks. Personally I think we should sign every single player we've been linked with (except Rodri), and keep Tella.
  25. That's probably a fairly small percentage of the population isn't it?
