No - it's something to do with it being a re-arranged Saturday 3pm kick off which is against the broadcasting rules. I don't get it either...

Just enjoy it while he is here. There was an interview with him on BBC Sounds and it sounds like he doesn't plan being here next season. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0myvv5y?partner=uk.co.bbc&origin=share-mobile

So nearly a mere decade since we've seen a league hattrick by one of our players......
-
According to a co-pilot search (so probably wrong), the last Saints player to score a hattrick was Rickie Lambert in 2012. We are definitely overdue one.....
-
Is there a reason why the kick off time is 12:31, and not 12:30?
-
No, 21 weren't penalties. It was 11 - I think 21 is every penalty for every club he has played for. Hi missed/had saved 3 pens. Goal Breakdown by Competition The following table reflects his total career statistics for Southampton across all formats: Competition Appearances Total Goals Penalty Goals EFL Championship 78 35 8 Premier League 73 6 1 FA Cup 10 1 0 EFL Cup 13 1 2 Total 174 43 11 (Data current as of 3 February 2026)

The transfer window has SLAMMED shut

They dug out an excel spreadsheet from 2022 and looked at it!

Am I the only one that really can't be bothered with the match later? Watch the Traitors on BBC, or the cowards on Sky Sports. Hmm..... Only one is likely to provide entertainment.

You'd think he'd be able to spot some of the vegetables we have on the field. I hear he can spot a good runner. He was instrumental in getting a goalie that isn't rooted to the spot. He has overseen the shoots of growth in the academy, and is now ready to prune the first team dead wood. Has experience with manure, so is used to dealing with s*** week in, week out. He is trying to stop the rot with perennial hope. His experience can help because he is used to dealing with things wilting and struggling to stay up. He has dealt with fertiliser for 4 years - pretty much the same as Sports Republic The time it took to watch plants grow has equipped him to be able to watch Saints playing out from the back. That's enough, i'm out...

Not £76. £120! Yes, one hundred and twenty. If I see anyone wearing this I will try to slap some sense in to them. More proof SR are mugging us off.

We're shit, and we know we are, (Repeat, etc, etc)

I was there when Frannie scored....

We should go for this keeper: Dayne St. Clair - Wikipedia Contract apparently expires at the end of December

Just looking at the advertising hoardings in some of those clips to see the companies associated with us at the time and how successful they have been. Northern Rock, British Steel, Sega, Today Newspaper, Bonusprint, Littlewoods stores, Homebase, Cellnet... When you look at how many goals came from proper wing play with overlapping fullbacks, strikers actually in the box, centre forward who could hold up the ball and lay it off (never really appreciated how many assists Ian Dowie had!) how I wish we would play like that again now.
-
Could it be that they have identified someone who wants to come to us, but knows without a striker and goalie they would be on a hiding to nothing? Instead they are going to hold out until nearer the transfer window so that the required players can be brought in and the new manager wouldn't have to start with several defeats?
-
Maybe we should be looking more at the manager....
-
I suspect we probably had someone lined up, and the board were happy with their man. Until the crowd started singing at the weekend anyway, and then the search started again when they realised GO'N wasn't a good idea.
-
Unless your name is Russell...
-
Don't forget like the last match for the last 15 minutes we were 10-0-0
-
It takes time to get those powerpoint presentations ready to impress the board, you can't expect them to be ready in a couple of days! Those animations don't make themselves y'know!

David Wagner?

Does make you wonder if they are getting the old band back together....

At what stage do fans stop attending home games?
lumuah replied to Mboto Gorge's topic in The Saints
I've already bought tickets for the games I can go to until Christmas. After that, who knows. I don't mind losing - I've been a supporter for long enough to know as a Saints fan I will see plenty of defeats - but what I do mind is the manner of losing. Preston had players throwing themselves at the ball to block it - one nearly gave himself concussion blocking a shot - but you can't see any Saints doing the same. Nobody busting a gut to win a ball; always second to a free ball. When the players show such cowardice it is hard to have any connection with them. On Saturday Leo put in a hard working performance and the crowd were singing his name. How many others did you hear? Sure there were some for Aribo before he was on the pitch, but once he was on - nothing. Now I just look at the club with apathy. We have a bunch of misfits who really don't seem to care, and the ones who do care lack the ability to have any influence on a game. Without a seismic shift, I can't see me going to many games next year. I'm paying to be entertained, and that simply isn't happening.
