Pelle missed reasonably easy chance. Should have had a hatful given he is up against Forren.

Don't really see the point of the Dutch calling up Stek. They now have 2 sub keepers on the bench.

Di ck van Dyke surely, playing as sweeper

Michael Owen: I am Southampton in racehorse owning terms
VectisSaint replied to Singapore Saint's topic in The Saints
I agree that he has a soft spot... -
We got into the original agreement when we were in the Football League - not sure if it was when we were in League One or Championship. It was initially for 3 years, it was discussed about changing when we were promoted to the PL, but it didn't happen and it looks like we extended the contract. Most (not all) of the PL teams who have been promoted in the last 4 or so years have the same agreement, none of the established PL teams use it as far as I can see.

Doubt it, the offence took place in March. Some time in court today, possibly oneprevious very short hearing. There were rumours a couple of weeks back about something like this. Was it this or another issue more recently?

Sam Gallagher - Joins Blackburn: Official
VectisSaint replied to Sergei Gotsmanov's topic in The Saints
He was still shockingly awful in some games early on. Players can be shockingly awful and still turn out to be very good. Some can be shockingly awful and stay that way, some can be brilliant and turn out to be shockingly awful. Unfortunately there are a few rather dim posters on here who don't seem to be able to grasp such a concept and spout rubbish about a player being brilliant even when he was at some times shockingly awful. -
Matthews?

Michael Owen: I am Southampton in racehorse owning terms

We don't need (want) him to be the Southampton of horse racing. We already have one who is better, been at it for many more years than Michael ****ing Owen, and Southampton related, thank you. -

Not sure if you are agreeing with me or not, or whether you think kit is available more generally. I did forget Oxford Street, but otherwise as I said, it is only available in Southampton area JD Sports outlets (includes Eastleigh), Isle of Wight and Gatwick (and Oxford Street). It is not available in any other JD Sports outlets unless this has been changed since. This is the news item from the OS: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/20150702-201516-home-kit-launch-friday-2521966.aspx and the relevant extract: There’s also some good news for supporters located away from Southampton as, for the first time, select branches** of JD Sports – including at Gatwick Airport and on London’s Oxford Street – will be stocking Saints’ home kit. **Newport (Isle of Wight), London Oxford Street, Gatwick Airport (South Terminal Departures), Eastleigh, Southampton West Quay Road, Southampton Above Bar

Turkey play Iceland. Dutch play Czech Rep.

No. Apparently u16 coach at Norwich.

Nothing wrong with it to be honest, except that it isn't their first major tournament. It needs to be amended to say first major tournament "since 1986" then it would be perfect and factually correct.

That and the Nivea advert...

Abroad? The only place where we sell them abroad is the Isle of Wight. Apart from Gatwick we don't sell them anywhere outside of the Southampton area. Not sure that commercial income is primarily based on shirt sales anyway, much of what you see in some parts of the world are fake anyway. But we really could do so much better, a 2 million increase over last year really is a bit pathetic, however many percentage points it is that are used to pull the wool over the eyes of the gullible.

Scoring a couple more this season will be nice, but probably won't change much in terms of results. I will be happier still if he continues to do what he always does and helps create goals and continues to drive us on in midfield with his energy and tackling. He may not get many official assists (because assists don't count the critical passes before the last one), but the chances he creates with his non-stop running and passing is crucial, and it is very telling that the level of our play drops off considerably when he does not start or when he is subbed off. Really pleased for Captain Fantastic this week.

Incredible goal. 3 in a week.

Faroes winning as well, looking good but long way to go.

Very nearly.

If you're flagging things up to the editor (I see he's already fixed your bowel problem) then you should fix these two paras as well: "Last season, the suave Italian quickly won over supporters - some of whom who were overly-critical in the early stages of the season - with his passionate displays." "If his high early standards can be maintained, and a goal-drought similar to last month’s four-month spell be avoided, Pellè can most certainly make history." Otherwise a decent piece. Time and another 30 games will tell of course whether he ends up being an improvement over last season, he was after all very good in the first part of last season as well.

But have you understood it? The answer to that is clear.

I particularly enjoyed the poster that stated, presumably in all seriousness, that it is not the recruitment policy that is at fault but that the players are generally poor footballers. So the recruitment policy selects poor new players. If the LFC "fans" responding on that site were representative, then they will continue to have a major problem. I hope they are (as this will be to our benefit), but suspect that the club management of LFC have more understanding of what is needed. It may have taken them a while but they eventually realised that Brendan Rodgers was seriously lacking in the football management department.
