  1. I would suggest a calendar for the first 6 months only of 2015 would be a good idea. Its a little odd seeing a calendar depicting players no longer associated with the Club.
  2. Perhaps they're waiting until all of the players are available, Mane hasn't even been to Southampton yet.
  3. Thanks, good to know it was not injury related.
  4. Thought this was about Pardew, not Koeman.
  5. Just bear in mind that the offline donations total depends on the site owner (Franny or his assisitant) uploading the amount, whereas the other two parts are automatic and accurate.
  6. "There is much excitement and anticipation amongst Saints fans about the arrival of their new £10m free scoring midfielder" Really? In other news, anyone know why Prowsey did not get any time with the u21s? Not even on the bench? Is he injured?
  7. Do we believe foreign papers on this?
  8. Yes, he was released end of last season. Still without a club.
  9. Disappointed to find we are playing West Ham again on Saturday, was hoping to see Newcastle.
  10. Looks like he stopped at Jurys Inn rather than the County Ground. I think I better review my prediction for Saturday.
  11. Except it also happened at Easter Road (or wherever Hibs were playing about 3 weeks ago).
  12. Seems a very defensive bench, but then there really isn't much alternative. With JRod yet to come back, Ramirez shipped out, Guly sat on his arse and assuming Gallagher still injured, only Mayuka would really add anything attack wise, and I'm not convinced he will get used much this season, if at all. I think RK has set us up well defensively, but doesn't seem to have addressed the attack in the same way.
  13. Well I ****ed that up good and proper. Monitored most of the day to track where he was, left work early to head to Wootton Bassett where he was clearly headed, just in time to see him dive in to his support vehicle. Assumed he'd finished for the day so headed home, only to find when I got online that he was running again, not only that but his route went within about 100 yards of my office. Should have just stayed at work longer I guess. Currently heading into Swindon, maybe he is heading for the County Ground, should be there in about 5 minutes - he runs a hell of a pace.
  14. Yes, he's heading into Sherston now, looks like he is going along the Malmesbury to Swindon road later, will try to get there to give him some support.
  15. A little frustrating actually. Apparently tomorrow he is running to Swindon, but cannot find the route he is taking from Newport (where he is now) to Swindon where he will be tomorrow. If I knew where and when I would go along and cheer him on being as I work in Swindon.
  16. BUt then you miss one of the mainpoints of what he is doing. Yes the fund raising is important and benefits the excellent charities that help with the research, but it is also about raising awareness.Getting 2 or 3 pro footballers to donate a few £ks may help the former but does nothing for the latter. Anyway, Robbie Fowler is following and tweeting about Franny's big run, Dean Hammond helped out as well, and of course MLT, so he does have contacts. Think you will find the donations will increase when the run gets near or past the end. The £1 million target was probably not meant to be realistic. My daughter is currently fund raising for the Crohn's and Colitis UK charity (doing the Bournemouth Half) and using the Just Giving site, she had to enter a target when she started and had no idea what to put, being a bit conservative she put £150 and got that with the first 3 donations, and most of the family have not donated yet, but we will of course.
  17. Lives on Nandos
  18. Actually think the irony of using Cortese's song for Franny would not be lost on him. With some amended words and extended middle section Benali, whoooooaa, Benali He runs for charity He makes a mean curry He's mates with MLT His daughter is Kenzie He ****ing hates Pompey As well as Cortese Benali, whoooooa, Benali
  19. Why would that be a problem? Given we only have 20 players for the BPL, why would only being allowed to have 23 for UEFA be an issue? You can still play as many u21s as you want. In any case, if by some pure chance we qualified for Europe don't yu think we would take that ino account and perhaps sign some more players. If you think we could support BPL and Europa League with the paper-thin squad we currently have then you are a little deluded my friend. We don't really have enough for the BPL as we demonstrated last season between November and January.
  20. How come? How do you know when the process started? Given he was almost sold in January. Seems to me likely that the process had already started before the end of last season when it became clear he was not a (fundamental) part of future plans.
  21. Less of course what we had to give to Bompey for Lallana and what we had to give to Brizzle Rovers and Stockport for SRL.
  22. You don't have to have 8 home grown. But for every one under 8 you lose a squad place, as someone else said you can have a maximum of 17 non-home-grown. Hence Chelski have a squad of 20 because they only have 3 home grown players (Cahill, Terry and Fabregas). Likely therefore that the Chosen One will have to play some of his youngsters this season whether he likes it or not. Still he does have 51 registered under 21s to choose from. Maybe Kurt Happy Zuma will get a game. Likewise Spuds could only name 23 because they only have 6 HG players (would have been just 5 if we had signed Townsend). As a result Assou-Ekotto was omitted from the squad, which makes his future career rather limited until next year - he may still be eligible for the Europa League.
  23. Does the record still stand? The Hibs goalkeeper scored similar goal in Scottish League earlier this season. Perhaps their pitch is smaller. Were the goals scored by Shilton (for Leicester against us) or Ray Clemence measured and found to be shorter? Thinking about it Shilts scored against us at The Dell, so it was probably only about 40 metres http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/scotland/28731459
  24. Holmesy was not a one-club player, you are ignoring his time spent with East Cowes Vics. Disrespectful.
  25. I quite like being a loser along with those other losers, Real Madrid, Monaco. Juve and Inter. Seems like a nice little clique. Still just goes to show Fox is crap, glad we shipped him out.
