  1. Actually we haven't. We had a very small squad at the end of last season, and this was primary reason why we had a poor spell mid-season which dropped us down from top 4 to 8th. 8 players have left since the end of last season (Shaw, Lallana, Lambert, Lovren, Chambers, Osvaldo, Guly and Sharp). We have brought in 7 (Forster, Bertrand, Pelle, Tadic, Taidir, Long, Gardos). We have ****ed off Boruc by putting Fraser as #1. So we are still one or two short of where we were and we all know we were short anyway. So how have we enlarged the squad?
  2. 25 minutes on the Red Jet, being on the IW is hardly a reason not to go to a game :-) Can't help you with the pubs, as I no longe rlive over there but have a much longer overland journey to home games.
  3. I never said any such thing. Was perfectly happy with him playing RB, and always thought he would be better than Clyne. I expected him to move in to MF eventually which was where he started with Saints. Not sure actually that he is first chice CB at Arsenal either, when Mertesacker is back this weekend I guess we will find out.
  4. He's 19. Looks completely unfazed at being put in as CB for Arsenal even in CL game. He makes a few mistakes, but has a very mature head on his shoulders. We really did drop a complete bollock letting him go, really do think of all the departures this summer his will turn out to be the most stupid.
  5. Fortunately Morgan is not yours to sell.
  6. Looked it up yesterday, there is an urban dictionary if you google for Apparently
  7. Goodnight
  8. Ha ha ha! Never thought I would see him being accused of that.
  9. Prefer if he plays stood.
  10. Not forgetting those ****e players Wanyama and Lovren of course (btw Forren cost us almost nothing and Lee was a free transfer). God some people on here spout a load of ********.
  11. 3 Scored for the u21s today, but is 22.
  12. Good post. Yoshida hardly put a foot wrong yesterday, other than a couple of poor cross-field passes in the first half that could have been punished, but weren't. It really is amazing how some people on here were blaming him for the first goal, you really wonder whether some people actually watch the game or know what Yoshida looks like. Its worth remembering as well that he has hardly played since about March when he was injured apart from 3 games in the World Cup. He was a bit rusty and it showed early on with those passes, but thats all. Much like Morgan was a bit rusty and off the pace and made a couple of mistakes that normally he would not make. Davis' chance was poorly taken, but he did work the keeper and you could see what he was trying to do, i.e. place the shot, again perhaps some rustiness and a reluctance to shoot from range being a hangover from the Poch era, he should have just leathered it and Mignolet would not have stood a chance.

  14. Possibly because they have got Jordan Turnbull instead. Seems odd he didn't mention that little fact. Think if we were going to loan him out again we would have loaned him to Swindon, as he was in the squad yesterday I suspect he is now part of the backup for the first team.

  16. No, did Yoshida directly contribute to either of the goals, no? So there is no basis on which Lovren instead of Yoshida would have made any difference, unles you think he may have scored for us from a set piece. he may have done, but statistically how often does the same (defender) score in the same (away) fixture two seasons running. I'm sure MLG will be along to tell us the answer.

  18. Guly. Without him on the bench the atmosphere was flat amongst the subs. None of the other wannaways were missed in the slightest.

  20. NOt overly excited by the prospect, and certainly not if its part of a deal for Morgan, which is how it sounds, but if we could get him and keep Morgs then it is probably a decent deal.

  22. So Fraulein Liebherr attended a game in Liverpool and looked excited when we scored, yippee, at least according to a tweet. But the Bogeyman Cortese sometimes didn't go to a game. Well you may wish to not be considered sycophantic but you do Fitzhugh, you do.

  24. I know its about opinions, but I don't know how you can even mention Yoshida with regard to their first goal. The ball from Henderson was threaded through between Fonte and a fast-retreating Clyne. If Yoshida had been anywhere near that ball then he would have been sacked by the manager for gross incompetence, he was doing his job over the other side of the pitch. Sadly it was a great ball but ultimately it had been the result of a foul on Tadic and a poor attempt at a tackle by Schneiderlin (one that had he been fully fit would have been easy meat for Morgan). Yoshida did make two awful passes in the first half although in both cases we got away with them, but no way was he in any way at fault for their first. Watch the links again.
