  1. Who are these people that are saying Rohl is a huge loss? Looks to me like something you have made up. He may be a loss, who knows, certainly Ralph was keen to get him in last season, so you'd think he thought he would be a great benefit, especially when he was given a 2.5 year contract. Ralph seems to think that Fleming is an adequate replacement, time will tell, though I'm not sure that Fleming brings the same to the coaching team as Rohl did (they were both defenders in their brief playing days but other than that the comparisons are hard to see).
  2. Craig Fleming was a defender (and is the replacement for Rohl).
  3. There is a lot of blame going on against several players, some of it justified, but in the end the real issue so often is that our midfield (including our wing backs or whatever they are called) are not closing down enough and protecting the back line. Yes our CBs and keeper are making a hash of things at times but we invite the opposition on so often. Second goal yesterday case in point, no one in the middle got anywhere near their players. Happens too often, JWP, Hojbjerg, Valery, Bertrand all hugely guilty.
  4. Almost word for word what I posted a while back on offside, totally agree with you. The current interpretation of offside is a nonsense, it was never intended to be used this way, and the boys and girls at IFAB need to go back and review the law and its interpretation. VAR should never be involved with offside.
  5. Season long loan with exclusive option to buy though. No one can honestly say or think that KD after about 20 Bundesliga games and St the age of 20 is better than what we already have, even Ralph. Dream on if you think he is going to be the answer to our prayers this season, however good he turns out to be.
  6. Missing Danny Rohl
  7. Oh its a case of hate with many posters on here, believe me. Your opinion which you're welcome to is that he's not good enough, Ralph's opinion is that he is. Whose opinion holds most weight here?
  8. Not that old chestnut again. FFS.
  9. The team sheet suggests Stephens on the right and Bednarek on the left. But last time Bednarek played on the right he had a mare. Hoping Bednarek actually plays right with Vestegaard left and Stephens centre.
  10. The haters will be having a field day ?
  11. Not really convinced this has been good. Signed 2 players who it's debatable if they will be first choices, but should work out well in the future. Can't get excited about Danso, unclear if he is better than what we already have, but promising for the future. I like Adams, clearly going to be an improvement on what we had. Failed to shift one of our 3 first team keepers (so far), meaning we have an over abundance of experienced keepers. Finally, failed to strengthen in CM which is where we appear to be weak. Most of our problems at the back stem from failures by our MF to provide the protection they should. On top of that PEH and Romeu are liabilities in the discipline stakes, losing one or both to the inevitable suspensions could be very costly with no decent cover. We'll see, hopefully Ralph can work his magic but really it hasn't been the window expected, even Ralph said he wanted to get players in very early, which apart from Che we spectacularly failed to do, with Djenepo being one of the latest back from his hols, no time to integrate, and of course even worse with Danso.
  12. Oh dear, we will be hearing from Verlaine shortly ?
  13. It's not strange at all. US company imports its part finished product from China (or Vietnam), applies finishing touches and distributes to final market (UK). Something different has happened with Saints because of the stupid LD logo and its got ****ed up. It was just a theory as to why the **** up has happened, in a light hearted manner. Sorry if it has upset you in some way. A little over sensitive perhaps?
  14. Note that Sam McQueen is clearly not fit enough to be able to put a current 2019/20 shirt on for his picture. Must be in a bad way, or else they don't have any more shirts to go round.
  15. Scotland still open for business as well. Moi could do well in the Highland League, Forster might be willing to go back to Celtic.
  16. Maybe an unexpected consequence of Trump's trade war with China, avoiding the import and re-export into and out of the US. Just a thought.
  17. He didn't even play in some of those games (even the 8-1 he was only on the pitch for 5 of them, including his own goal). If you really want to show the goals conceded in the last 9 games that KD was involved in then it would be: 8(5), 4, 0, 4, 0, 1, 0, 1, 5(2). Interesting he seems to play equally left and right centre of back 4 (he is right footed), and has also played right back on one occassion (though it was against Nurnberg, who were rubbish last season)
  18. Note that Carrillo has reappeared on the OS, even donning a 2019/20 shirt. No number though.
  19. I won't, best I leave that to you.
  20. Who is Jan Valary?
  21. Thing is, on 29 June (last year) the numbers were still subject to change. Of course none did (?), but new ones were added (Ings, Vestergaard, Gunn, Armstrong, Elyounoussi signed in July or August). There were also numbers announced that were subsequently not used (Carrillo, Boufal, Sims, Reed, McQueen) due to transfers/loans out. So the definitive list is formally submitted and confirmed by the PL much later.
  22. Last year the squad numbers were officially confirmed by the Premier League on 4 September. That is when the 25 man squads also were announced. Suspect we will actually announce the main first team squad well before that, at least when the club have shirts to sell.
  23. Exactly who we could do with right now, shame it won't happen. Meanwhile Jason Puncheon has joined Pafos https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49258601
  24. Seriously question that Cedric was shipped out because he was not good enough. He was shipped out because he didn't enthusiastically sign up to Ralph's new ways. After half a season kicking his heels on the bench at Roma and a good talking to by his new wife he has seen the light and realised that he is better off at Saints fighting for a place and eventually a move to a bigger club. Not even sure that Hoedt was shipped out for being not good enough, but anyway looks like he is going anyway so who cares.
