He wasn’t picked for the internationals as was told that he wouldn’t be ready until the timescales you mention. I’m more than happy to give him the time esp as he is not the most experienced of CB’s.

I really don’t want to be paying circa £75k a week on a player that is not ours. I appreciate he’s a reasonable player but something just doesn’t sit right with that. We are not a club that can afford such an outlay with no value added ie. he’s in the shop window for someone else to benefit. The club just gets a thank you in 10 months.

That’s nearly £4m in our share of wages.

I’ve only seen the YouTube* stuff but totally agree - only time will tell I suppose but on first impressions I’m on board. *not so easy to make a 21 year old DM look good as say a 28 year old CF.

What I like about him is that he seems to have a good footballing brain - he covers players that have gone forward ie he’ll cover the gaps left by Bertie and KWP.

With an option to buy. Sounds like he would be a good Romeu replacement

I’m going with this mainly due to the fact that we wanted to test the process as no one else seems to have.

It also could overly inflate prices. Yes that should be scrapped - we scout someone but can’t buy them unless we want to pay £10m.
