I'd be more concerned if they had only bought 1st team players. Correct me if I'm wrong but they are already investing in the infrastructure of the club which will in turn bring better youngsters to the club and so on. ML & NC know what they are doing they've been doing it long enough. Anyone care to work out what % of ML's personal wealth he has actually spent (I can't be arsed)? Oh and when you do apply a % to his billions as he would have earned interest on that (which probably equates to somewhere near what he has spent).

I think he has his own personal roller coaster - one minute its "Were the Man City of League 1" then its "anyone concerned about our level of spending". Can't have it both ways. FWIW and to answer TDD - yes a little but we really need to off load some players, our squad is far to large and is not sustainable given our income (nothing to do with ML's money).

I think Nick just wants to stimulate a debate about what the attendances should be. I'm not saying I agree with him on this one in particular but its a reasonable debate. Oh and can people stop playing the man instead how about debating the points.

Bit of a catch 22 there tho'. Do you off load your more experienced players who are on more money or the youngsters who are on less? If it were me I'd go for the former as you know there capabilities (or lack of) where as with the ones you have mentioned could develop further.

Thats the bit that concerns me.

Thats my worry - they bleed us and could become a stumbling block for further team investment. What would you say was the average wage for the players stated - 2k - 3k per week x 8? Thats 16k to 24k per week - which is at least 2 - 3 decent (prob more at this level) players.
